I'm not looking forward to the start of school again - I love having my kids around me.  
Gotta do it so trying not to think negatively about it....

Hi Yvette. I missed DD when she went to school too. Suzanne for weeks I felt as though my arm was missing when I went out as DD wasn't there. I sympathise.
Mum always said she was sad when we went back to school too. Even they we could be right little horrors. I remember one Boxing Day Dad rigged up a boxing ring for the three of us. He said if we wanted to fight we could do it properly.

No Michele, I was working when DD2 started school.  Mum had her 4 days a week and my GF on the other weekday so I was pleased that at last these people, particularly Mum, could have their lives back.  If I had been a SAHM it would have been different though because she was such a delight to have around and was 10 years old before I had to tell her off.

our morning teas and shopping trips whilst the boys were at school were the highlight of our week I'm going to be lonely buying shoes and bags by myself )

My SIL only has 2 and has been talking for the last year how much she couldn't wait til this year when they would both be at school, so no Michele, you are not!!

I'm the same too Astarra. My youngest starts prep in 4 days time. What am I going to do without my little buddy?

Morning all.  We always did a morning tea on the first day.  Tried for a relaxed atmosphere.  Big brothers and sisters could come and visit Prep room.  Often ,  dads and GP  came also.  Must admit that I couldn't wait for my DD to start,  neither could she. 
Nice and cool again today.  Long weekend for many,  enjoy Australia Day.
