Title: Horseradish Cream
Post by: achookwoman on June 26, 2016, 09:06:34 am
Very simple and delicious , especially when made with fresh horseradish.
If using fresh horseradish place discs into TMX and grate, speed 7/20 seconds. DO NOT LIFT LID AND SNIFF AS YOU LOOK IN? THE FUMES ARE OVERPOWERING?
If using grated horseradish in a bought jar, proceed as per instructions.

For every measured quantity of horseradish, use double quantity of sour cream. Light good.
Example
1/4. cup of grated horseradish to 1/2 cup of sour cream.
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard.
Chopped chives, ( optional. )

Place all in TMX and mix on speed 4 for 5 seconds.
If using, add chives by hand .

Notes
Although traditional with roast beef, it is also nice stirred through soup.
1 teaspoon to a large bowl or to taste.
Also good on roast veggie Panini.

And then there is a Russian version called Хренодёр/Hrenoder, which is equal amount of Horseradish and garlic with double amount of Tomatoes, plus some salt and sugar. Perfect for Thermomix and yes, DO NOT LIFT LID AND SNIFF. I can confirm the warning first hand :-)

Arafalov, thanks that does sound nice. Will give it a go in the Summer when the Tomatoes are growing.  I grow the horseradish and garlic, and in the Summer, tomatoes.  Love recipes where I can use what I grow.
