No, not a star cookie - I just want to feel comfortable and I’d hate to give it all back to DD saying I was quitting.

Another lovely day here. I almost needed a blanket last night.

Envy you Cookie.
The Music festival at Lorne has been shut down due to weather conditions.  Fortunately GD did her bagpipe thing with John Farnham last night.
I am going to try to post a video that was sent to me. Hope you enjoy it.

Lucky for GD to be able to do her bit with John Farnham.  How disappointing for all the thousands of people who had turned up for the festival Chookie, the threat of fire must have been very real for them to cancel the show.

Well done to GD for the John Farnham concert, Chookie, what a gig!  I should imagine she is still "buzzing", or has she come back down to Earth by now?

I wonder if the annual NYE fireworks will be cancelled tomorrow night?

Tried to post video but couldn’t.  Not very good at that.  It was to do with Christmas greetings.
It was 24 here over night. Hot 38 predicted today.  Not doing much.

Good morning everyone.  35 deg here at the moment and it's only 10.00am.   I'm not planning on doing very much today.

What a thrill for your GD Chookie, was she very nervous?.  I wonder what he's like to meet.  Stay cool everyone.

Have been just talking to DD aboutGD and the Bagpipes.  They all had a great time. Julie, I think GD was more excited than nervous.  The crowd allowed family to get down the front and the other bands assembled behind the scene were all encouragement. It would appear that everyone was out to have a very good time.  No one was or is allowed to get near John Farnham.  He apparently is very nervous before he performs. When the Bagpipes started up there was a massive roar from the crowd. When they (GD and her teacher) finished playing they salute the audience and John Farnham and another roar from the crowd. GD is a very quiet pretty 17 year old.  She was amazed at the support she got from the other musicians. We were not.  She has been awarded a school colour for her service in helping build the number of pipers.  She helps the junior piper in her lunch times.

How wonderful Chookie, you must have been so proud.  I've always wondered what 'stars' are like away from the cameras etc.  You read how some are really approachable and others aren't, always wondered which way Farnham was. Thanks for posting this insight.  What a remarkable young lady your grand daughter is.  :D

Was a bit long winded about GD but we are really proud of her.  She is coming around today to do some cleaning and earn some pocket money.
Cool change overnight.  Lovely.  Hot again on Friday.
