What do you think of these wages for taking a plate from the kitchen to the table!

No more tipping for me.

My first event. It was to a garden party afternoon tea. The garden was wonderful. Fun gals.

Not so sure how I will feel when they go to lunch in a public place which they do once a month always wearing the full regalia

Gert I have seen those ladies on the train. Red and purple are very obvious colours. You looked lovely.

Those wage rates for public holidays are more than DD gets with several degrees.

The bromeliad is beautiful.

Stunning Gert, glad you have joined the girls - mind you the group may never be the same now you have joined but they may need someone like you to spice things up a bit.  Don't worry about being in a public place, if you get lost everyone will know where they need to return you in those colours.  The locals will be so used to seeing them around they won't bat an eyelid.  Have fun, I might have to do something like that one of these days myself.

These gals seem to have plenty of fun Judy. You might like to join your local group. Quite a variety of interests but I always feel a bit insecure around crafty people . They are so talented and imaginative  like so many on this forum.

Those wage rates for public holidays are more than DD gets with several degrees.

Disgraceful cookie.  What about teachers.  When I worked as a kitchen hand then  waitress I used to laugh when picking  up my pay. Then I worked in a nursing home as a cleaner . I didn't laugh so much.  Then  I started nursing school  and cried at the pay.

How is it we value waiters and even give them tips above their wages ?

Oh yes I did get a check one time from the son of a lovely elderly patient. I reported it to MATRON and sent  it back. He was ever so grateful I did a manual evacuation on his mum. LOL!  It was for $25 which I could have used at the time. I wished it had been cash as I might not have sent it back!!
