Title: Candy thermometer on the spatula?

Im sure I read that someone on here attached a candy thermometer to their spatula somehow? Dies anyone know what I'm talking about?

I do seem to be lucky sometimes in googling the correct information Cookie and coming up with what I want.  ;D
