Beezeebee,
our butcher dices up and takes all the fat off for me, with chuck steak, then packages it into 1 kilo containers for me..
always packed up to what size we want for the family. :)

saves you doing it..

That's so convenient, Obbie. How much does he charge for the chuck?

we pay $5.95 a kilo, for a whole beast, or half beast at a time.

Cheaper than buying at a supermarket..

Made faffas best yoghurt, spinach and ricotta cannelloni, ricotta and lemon cake and granueseli.  Also put a beef casserole in the slow cooker to cook overnight for tomorrows dinner. I had today off work, hence all the extra things I was able to have time to make!

I made a batch of vegetable soup for tea tonight, it seems to be the only way I eat vegies these days.

Last night I made, 5 seed bread, 2 lots of butter, 2 batches of protein balls, CADA and Magic Bean cake. Just a few goodies as we are going away today. I should have been organising parking but got carried away in the kitchen!

That looks so good Uni. I've tried this recipe a number of times and it never comes out with the nice custardy base. Maybe it's time to try it again.

Yesterday I made Tenina's Banana Bread. The one she has had on her facebook page. I made a couple of minor personal changes. I reduced the sugar by 50g and used a very dark brown sugar as that was all I had. I also only put in 50g choc chips.
It is really lovely. DH's comment was extremely positive, a lot more than the usual ' it's nice.'
Here's the link on Tenina's blog.

This is really really nice.I put walnuts into mine and just eat it as is, no butter.

May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
