Took the kids to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood to see a LEGO exhibition called "Bricks on Wheels".  Luckily we got in early before the queue got huge.  I cannot believe that people would queue for that long with little children ……..

Now we are lying on the sofa watching cricket  ;D

I think he is some sort of dragon lizard, we don't usually see them in our parts - goannas, blue tongues we see all the time.

Lovely spot INAID, where is it?

Hi All only about ten minutes away. Goomboora Park near Brinsmead in Cairns.

Henry is the dog swimming ;) the corgi. The rest can walk lol.

Beautiful succulents!

Our DD turned on the wrong tap today and flooded all our pot plants. The sage is very sad! :(

Yikes, he would have had me running for cover Michele  ;D

I love succulents, I have quite a few different varieties in a wooden wheelbarrow Geoff made years ago and half my front yard is full of yukkas and agave - very little watering is needed and they grow and have babies so easily.

Sounds wonderful Judy, would love to see a photo. That's why DH loves them too, they separate easily and he grows them in little pots and then plants several in fancy pots and gives away the gardens as gifts.

My kids would have loved your visitor Michele. We went to Zealandia (local wildlife sanctuary) a few days ago and their highlight was seeing the tuataras and geckos. Lots of lizard love here.

We have just been doing jobs around home for the last couple of days, and today off to a 5yr old birthday party....hope the rain  clears as it's supposed to be at the park!

DH and I have wanted to get some geckos for a while but we both work away during the week for up to 4 nights. Whilst my parents love dog sitting, they're not too keen on lizards!

Today has been a productive day. Woke up at 11am (not that productive), spent a few hours typing up letters and going online changing my name. It's only taken 2 months to get around to.
Booked my car in for a service. Went food shopping. Took dog for a jog. Made bread buns. Rearranged the freezer and made our meal menu for the next two weeks.
Just about to settle down to watch Hobbit (first one)
Phew!

We used to find little geckos in the garden when I was growing up (cats were really good at finding them.  :-))  Lucky they were the kind with the re-growing tails!), so would keep one as a pet for a while and then just release it again.
We don't seem to have them here though.

Do you have lizards in NZ Jo? My Kiwi DH is a big girl when it comes to snakes and lizards. He said there are no snakes in in NZ.

I haven't had to take an axe to any snakes yet thank goodness but have had to chase some big goannas out of the immediate back yard as DH is running and screaming in the opposite direction.
