What have you been doing today?

DH and DD braved the weather today to go to a car show and display their cars. DH and the old ute won "Best Car at Show." He was pretty proud of the car. I stayed home out of the rain and baked.

It's been very quiet here lately as I haven't been feeling up to doing very much.  I finally had my CT scan last week but no results yet.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Good luck with your results Margaret, it’s terrible waiting for them.
Congratulations Mr cookie, a great achievement and you must be so proud of him cookie.
Good work Chookie, I’ve been doing something similar but not in the clothes line. I’ve been going through storage cupboards and posting all sorts of things on our local giveaway site, had most of yesterdays postings collected today so I posted another 13 items tonight.  Looks like another busy day of collection tomorrow.  So far I’ve only given things I haven’t used or needed for the past 2 years or more, whether it will stop at that remains to be seen.

Hope the results are good Mab .
Cookie your DH must be very happy .
Well I stayed in bed till 3 pm !! I did get breakfast and had soup very late lunch also read my book . But I was determined to stay put and away form DD who did not need me coughing near her . In fact it was good for us as we have been literally on top of each other for the last few weeks . Two people have never gone through so many boxes of tissues and coughing for hours on end ... nothing helps , warm water is about the only thing that temporary gives me a break . Honey and lemon , BHAGardens cold flu drink ( part the reason I got the induction hot plate ) don’t seem to help . DD seems to be a bit better today , but when went outside she felt little faint . Very tiered . The GP got back to me to say all my bloods were good .. but at some stage in the past I have had glandular fever!! Apparently this is common that you don’t know . Clearly unlike DD who has sever glandular fever and tonsillitis ! Reassured me that I have a viral laryngitis not the same as DD . Bring on tomorrow.

🤞for good results Margaret.
Well done to your DH Cookie. 👏

I bought 5 dahlias recently and potted them up this afternoon. Can’t chance putting them outside yet until overnight frosts disappear. We had snow yesterday. Bit of shock waking up to a covering of snow, 😳

DS arrived at lunchtime. Brought SD rolls and pain au chocolate, potato salad  he had made. From his garden he brought spinach, purple sprouting broccoli and kale.

Mab, hope the results are ok.
KAtie, you are having a rough time. A day in bed not a bad idea.
CC, all those goodies from your DS sound wonderful.  Love Dahlias. Such a variety.
More cleaning out of clothes today.

Thank you cookie, I’m enjoying this cull more than any other I’ve done. It ties me to the house waiting for people to pick up their goodies but it’s working well for me this week.
I agree with Chookie K Atie, a day in bed and in your own space will do you no harm. It may take some time to get over this so I hope you have plenty of books to read.
Denise, your son is a constant in your lives even with the Corona problems, how lovely for all of you.  You sounded a bit surprised with the snow, obviously you don’t get it very often? I love dahlias but have never grown them myself.

Your DS sounds a very good cook Denise. It must be so cold to be getting snow.
KAtie, rest up and get well soon. My DD took some time to get over her glandular fever.
I love dahlias but have only grown them successfully once.

I did our grocery shopping this morning. It was a mad house. It's only a small suburban shopping centre but has Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. It is also the car park for a theatre. This morning the theatre has something on and there was an animal petting at the shops.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts . DD spends the days doing her uni assessments , I seem to have bursts of sorting ,tying and cleaning . DD is resting , I find her asleep on the floor by the heater , that’s fine . DH and DS came to Melbourne for the day , well they stopped in Ballarat and and got DS his first suit for school dinner dance then X-ray for his spine , long story but everything is fine there . They visited my DM then looked for DS shoes ! Eventually they came and dropped dinner and books and jumpers to me , stood at a distance away said hi and left . felt Strange and isolated but no way do we want them sick too . So sick of coughing and DD too . Lots more good food needed for DD I think .
