Have made a few batches of these cookies now. Big success! Thanks for the recipe.

The last batch I halved the quantity of sugars, and added an extra 25g of chocolate. Still super delish.

They are great. And it's so easy to adjust the amount of sugar and choc chips to suit your taste.
Glad you enjoyed them.

*Hallelujah*!!

Well, if that's not the most delish little choc chip cookie I have ever tasted, slap me down silly!

Thanks Dede, she's a keeper, why oh why, did I wait so long?!

On a side note, made in to a lovely vegan, failsafe bickie too with some nuttlelex, egg replacer soy vegan chocolate :)

Just made these and had a couple while still warm (couldn't stop at one!).  I decided to make these just on a whim as i decided I wanted to cook something and just picked the first recipe on the list... I discovered while getting my ingredients out a half empty box of GF self raising flour that i had used a few months ago for a once off share dinner so i decided I better use it up lest it just go to waste so my cookies were gluten free :) and i stopped the flour from going to waste at the back of my cupboard!   *goes off to just "taste" one more bickie...*

I have been making this recipe for years and couldn't remember where I got the recipe from until the other day when I was flicking through an old Woman's weekly cook book that I have had for years  ,and there it was :D

Dede, how much sugar and butter have you reduced effectively?

I usually add about half the amount of both brown and white sugar without to much effect on the taste. As for butter I have cut it down by half but found they didn't spread enough, so I now cut it down by 1/3 without any problems :)

I think I've stuffed these up. They are currently in the oven but the mix was like breadcrumbs and I had to squish it together. I'll find out in 9 mins I suppose  :-\
