Thanks everyone for your support and suggestions. The boss of the company turned up today and has got the A/C working.  He is sending out a specialist on Thursday. He thinks not enough air was flowing through the system and the coils were freezing up and therefore shutting down the system.
We didn’t use the’  Cancer card ‘ to put pressure on the company, but it was obvious to him as he checked out all the settings that there were serious issues going on here. You cannot believe the relief we are feeling.
I think I will contact the Ballarat Council and see if some sort of emergency program can be set up for the holidays.  The Dentists have a system where there are Dentists available.

BRILLIANT NEWS - did he say why it took so long for them to come and check the system out?  The main thing is that it is fine now, and your idea for the council to compile an emergency programme has a huge benefit for people who need urgent help during holiday times.

That’s great news Chookie . Harvesting wheat today so lunch and dinner for boys in paddock! It’s 10.30 pm and still out there . Hopefully home soon as DS and I have a day trip to city for dentist and I was hoping DS would drive but he might need to sleep .

Oh Chookie I am so pleased that something has been done at last.

Your idea of chatting to the council is very good. There must be a lot of people that would need to use something like that.

Marina, no excuses. All the tradies are on holiday. This is fair enough, everyone needs a holiday. There are a few working , cash in hand , as the firms they work for are officially closed. So you need to know someone who knows someone who is working, and this someone must have a certificate that allows them to work on your particular system.

Great news Chookie.  I think chatting to your council is a good idea.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I did the grocery shopping this morning. This afternoon we are hanging round for the lady down the road to come over. She needs some help with some documents. She is one of those people who have no idea of time, so will probably come as I begin to prepare dinner.

No eating fir me for 3 hours ,opps I had a piece of toast at 7am , had to wait till 4pm to eat lunch . DS drove in Melbourne and into Wilson’s in Ballarat . I then drove home . Lucky DD had heated up food for our lovely worker , she is a good worker and stays till midnight tonight! DS got DD to drive him out to DH to sit on the header together and then move paddocks . I went to bed , boys !

KAtie, you are managing well for such a busy time.
I got a good report from the heart specialist and he reduced the cholesterol drug by half. Don’t have to see him again for 12 months.
Having windows measured for motorised  blinds that you can see through. Should cut the sun exposure on the windows.
Also a ‘ privacy’ blind on bedroom window.
Investigation into tradies to work during Xmas hols going ahead. Private companies, no go. Has to be a Gov contractor as they have to be available during holidays. In this particular case of A/C  refrigeration electricians.
Best advice is to have any essential items serviced well before needed.
Marina’s suggestion was close to what is needed but they done have the skills or qualifications. But a Hospis group do. Not sure how to tap into this service. Will find out.

Well done into your investigations Chookie, you always find time to fit extra jobs into your busy life.
Those blinds are perfect for what you need, once the sun has passed over you can open them up so that Ral can watch the activities over the road more clearly. I had them installed years ago (mine are only manual) to cut down on jobs, no curtains to wash anymore. They’re great privacy screens too, you can see out but no-one can see in.

Well done on your research Chookie.
We drove down to Dwellingup today. My brother has a tree change house down there with a beautiful garden. He goes down most weekends and holidays.

We had a lovely lunch.

DH rang to say there had been a fire on our place , on the roadside then into the paddock! Took the boys the morning to fix but all good as the whole fire brigade did not need to come ! Then our worker got a flat tyre on the ute . The DD had to collect her and go to our workshop for a tyre . Now there is DS and said worked ,DD Driving !  Basically there was a near accident with another vehicle and a horse float ! As DD indicated to turn off the highway the car came on her inside and went off the road into the ditch ! They pulled off the road and the other vehicle pulled up got out and apologised . Big fright for all of them . Yes DD being on Ps can have a family member and another passenger .

What a terrible day, K Atie, so glad that everything that happened was not as serious as it could have been.  Just coping with the fire alone would be enough, especially in this weather, but all the other things combined would have been so very stressful. Hope you have a less eventful day today and everything can get back to normal.

KAtie , these things seem to happen when we are already busy. Good that no one was injured.
More unpacking. We collected more boxes from storage. Have to go to Motor Reg office to do change of address. Couldn’t do it on line.
