Can’t keep my hands off the 7. I’ll make bread in it today. Need bread for garlic bread. Might try the soft Chinese bread roll recipe on Cookidoo and bake bread sticks with it. I’ll also make a small grain and seed bread in bread machine. I’ll also add a little of the Bagel seed mixture to the bread machine.
I’m drying some SD starter to post . 51

I collected all the odd bits of veggies from the fridge. Made soup. Tasted a bit too much like broccoli so added Parmesan cheese. Very nice now.
Roast pork loin for GC dinner. Steamed potatoes rolled in garlic butter. Peas and french beans. Waffles for sweets. 52

They did invite themselves. Cookie, what do you think of Emilia’s book. ? The peanut biscuits didn’t turn out as I expected. I’ll give them another go as I was naughty and fiddled with the recipe. 54

KAtie, I used your lemons for the sauce. Thanks.
I just have to make the Peanut butter cookies from Emelia Jackson’s book. I have lost the recipe for Peanut biscuits that I used to make. Her recipe looks exactly like the lost one. 57

Yesterday was spent in Lygon St , Carlton. Went to Brunettis for a very early breakfast . I was joined by 2 woman , holidaying from Sydney. They thought I was Italian.!, They were both of Italian decent. Both good cooks. They gave me a lovely Ricotta tart recipe when I told them about my disaster. I’m sending them some dried SD to reconstitute.
I bought 2 books at Readings. ‘Buns ‘ by Louise Hurst and ‘ Some of my best friends are cookies’ by Emelia Jackson. Cookie, I think you would like these. You could check out Emelia on line. I’m very impressed by how the Buns recipes are set out. Visited D. O C , an Italian food shop and Cafe and bought 24 month old Parmesan cheese and white anchovies. Also the spice shop and bought seed topping for bread, called anything bagel. Today I’m recovering! 59

KAtie, the ricotta cake was a disaster. Not light enough. However I made a simple lemon butter dressing for the steamed veggies and this was nice.
