I took a Christmas cake out of its tin today. It’s unusual that it’s made in a ring tin. I soaked the fruit for about a week, and when it’s cooked I cover it in foil and wrap in a towel for about 48 hours. Judy you have done an awesome job. I haven't done much for the last several days as I've had a horrid toothache. I managed to get into the dentist yesterday (after ringing every morning for a few days) and the dentist has given me some anti biotics to try and clear up the infection. I guess it will take a few days for the to kick in. I have another appointment with my regular dentist next Wednesday.

It all sounds delicious. DH made a chicken stew last night.

We were looking at the tins yesterday. DH hasn't cleaned them up yet. He said he will sand blast them for me, then I will oil them and pop them into the oven.
