Great pick up Michele, I love it when what you were going to buy is out on special.  Nice to see you active on here again.

After lashing out and buying a dishwasher last week I went mad and bought a Garmin (Fitbit type device) today.  I am determined to try to get fitter and my fingers are crossed that this will be a big help.  So far today (I only put it on 1 hour ago) I have done all of 245 steps ... I am definitely going to have to TRY HARDER!!!

Be prepared Marina, it can become an obsession. I have a waist fitbit and have a 500 step track around my home and a 1200 step up and down my street if I don't reach my goal steps. I get anxious if I don't meet my goal.  :-))

Thanks astarra, there are so many books out there these days.

LOL Marina, good luck with that.  Buy a bigger shop perhaps?

I think I will have to try to watch that, Michelle.  It would be very easy to "Garmin Gaze" and fret if you are down on your steps.

... as for a larger shop, Judy, ... we have only just recovered from closing down our second shop, much less finding a bigger one .. whatever happened to retirement??

Astarra, the book looks interesting, did you have to pay for postage also?
Where did the book come from, nothing on the website to say who put it together.

Well done Michel.  Pays to shop around.
Marina, good luck with the step counter. I have a fit bit and it does become a bit of an obsession. Like Michele, l know where I can walk around the house to get an extra 500 steps in.

I love mine too. I have been known to pace around the bedroom to get my steps up at night. 😃😃😃😃

10,000 steps? .... it sounds like I am doomed, I'm going to become a Garmin Gazer!  I would have to walk around our shop 1,000 times to get my steps up - DH will think I have finally "lost it" and gone crazy!

I've figured it out ... when my new dishwasher is in at Guildford, for every dish I put in I will walk around our orchard first, then do the same with each successive dish, that should help!

Oh dear, what have I got myself into?????????

I wear my Apple Watch every day and rarely look at it but on Mondays it sends me the summary of my past week exercise and steps and I am often astounded how much I have done and how many kilojoules I have used etc. Thinking of buying the new  updated watch but do I need it????

Marina, it is not as hard as it seems. I am always amazed at how many steps I add after dinner. That said, I don't often make 10,000. More often 7,000.
