My surprise purchase today was some very expensive darjelling tea from T2, they sucked me in, this tea is only picked on day 1 & 2 of the harvest, warning bells should have sounded, but happily sipped on it, fhen was given the normal darjeeling, mmm, so I said yes will take some. At the till I was told it was $55!!!!! :o :o :o :o :-\

Paid cash so dh wont know. Its called Darjeeling First Flush, 50 grams.

H ???
Whoa that is pricey.  I am glad I don't live too close to T2 always spend more that I expect in there. I like the French Earl grey, nothing like the other, only avail in T2 so a shame when you are addicted

Yes it is Gert. I enjoy some of the teas but not others and as Hally found out some are VERY expensive.

I had never heard of them Hally but I googled and there is one store just out of the city.  I'm not a prolific tea drinker, coffee is my first choice but occasionally I might have a tea at night or anywhere where I think the coffee looks too strong eg on airlines or anywhere they serve drip coffee with no other choice.

I don't use them cause my mother told me never to touch a hot iron. :)

That's very sensible Jen. You should always listen to your mother.

I ended up buying the Arcosteel pasta maker (surprise surprise!), it's smaller than I was expecting. I was expecting it to be longer, but once I looked at it it made sense. It was only $22.50, down from $45 so a bargain in my eyes... :-) I won't get to  play with it until Sunday though. I also got a sandwich press, because I gave mine away when I moved into to my apartment as I didn't think I'd need it. That was before I discovered home-made rolls and bagels. And got my 2 year old son some Lego, he LOVES his lego.

Hmn, I can see you will have to use your best tea cups and go and sit in the formal lounge room whilst you sip this Mrs Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) ;D
