This has probably been asked & answered a dozen times before - but how, on earth, do I load a pic onto here???? ???
-
Haven't you loaded pics before Amanda? I'm sure I've seen some that you've put on here.
I use Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) to upload my photos (it's free). Then I copy and paste the link.
The other way is to click Additional Options below the box where you type in your post. Upload your photos that way. They will need to be compressed to make them smaller. Then people click on them to look at them in larger size.
HTH!
-
If you are doing it from iPad you have to download Tapatalk app. I just learned how to do it today with the help of CP, Chookie, Cookie, and Gert.
There is a thread called iPad tips and tricks with the instructions on page 4 I think from memory. :)
-
If I have done it before, I had forgotten how, but thanks to you dear MJ I have just done it!!
Yay - clever me! :D :D
-
My pleasure! :D
-
MJ - the only way I've been able to upload photos so far has been through tappatalk on my iphone. I've tried going to the additional options but it keeps saying the file is too large. Can you please tell me how I compress the file? Many thanks!
-
GF the eastiest way i found was i have my settings on the camera at 640x480

Thanks, Uni . . . what if the photos are already on the computer . .? Is there a way to compress those? (Thought I was reasonably capable on the computer - but can't seem to remember steps unless I'm doing it all the time . . . ??? ??? ??? - keep telling myself to keep a notebook . . :-)) :-)) )
-

Ok, just experimenting on my iPad and will use this space. I can work out how to download from the PB cache of pics, and will see if I can download one of mine.
Q1. Do I need to somehow import my photos into PB to create an album that stays there or can I choose a photo from my current album on the iPad.
Q2. How do I get the IMG code to come up on my own photos.
Q3. With PB is there any scenario where ALL my photos are not displayed for public viewing
Any help much appreciated.
-
Maddy. thank you. I didn't know how to do that. I will try :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Stupid computer, everytime I try to get to that site Robyn is says No Data received , your photos are just tiny little squares with two blue and a pink square in them. No photo but I did see your ones before.
-
Strange Brenda, I hope it comes good soon :(

Yum CP they look great :)

That's better CP.

That looks great CP. Are you taking the photos with an Ipad? I am hoping for one for Christmas.

Me too Marie. I'm stuck in the 90's. A chunky old Nokia phone that does nothing and a PC in the study :-[

Yep, that's me too, my DS told me my phone is so old it won't talk to the computer :-))
keeping my fingers crossed for Christmas ;D
Marie

LOL, I think my phone is anti social too. ;D

For those that have an iOS device (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad), the newest OS (iOS 6) supports uploading directly now though you may have to do a trick to resize the photo if its too large for here.
Front cams of iPhone and iPad are ok, for larger photos (assuming you don't have an app to resize the photo):
Take photo
Go to camera roll
Share photo to yourself via email
Enter your own address for to
(On iPad tap From/cc/bcc line, choose pic size small/medium/large/original)
hit send
(On iphone on the dialog that appears Select a photo size (like medium))
Open email from yourself.
Touch and hold on photo and then Save (which saves it to your camera roll)
Come here and add photo ...
[first phot, iPad front cam, second iPhone rear cam via email - it's too grey and wet looking to take photos of outside]
[third photo if size okay, of email screen]
-
Rob, what's that thing on your shoulder?
-
A lemur, who was at the aquarium we visited the other day. I was taking photos of some others and it decided to use me as a seat for a short time :)
-
Robyn, the photos are on my computer now, don;t know what is going on. maybe i better shout myself an ipad for Xmas too. Gee I'm still having trouble getting around the computer, I downloaded Evernote to save the recipes but I can;t work it. I must try and remember to ask my DD tomorrow when she comes over..
-
Oh that was pretty easy tarasis. Thanks for easy instructions.
-
Hmm shame the pic turned itself upside down. I'll have to remember to take pics with the camera on the left hand side in future ;)
...yep, that's the way to go. Now I've learnt photo bucket and this today, but think I will this way as the pics smaller than photo buckets
-
You sound like me Brenda as I am always asking the technology whizz kids in my family.
They start rolling their eyes when I ask the same question again a few weeks later as I have forgotten how to do it!!! ;D

The only way I could get a photo to put on forum so my DS said was for me to take a photo with my phone, text it to him, he would download on his computer when he had time then email back to me then I could put on forum. Told him, the food would be stale by then. :-)) :-))

Or do people prefer photo bucket size?
-
Well if you touch on the small attachment it shows the same size. Though, yes till touched the upload from iPad is smaller looking.
-
True :-)) thanks for the tutorial rob, I really appreciate it.
-
No probs CP, both are useful to know :) photobucket is great for putting photos in the midst of instructions but mean people have to download a larger photo, where the attachments are shown as tiny photos and only bigger as needed.
It's all swings and roundabouts *grin*
-
Yummy cake CP, Brenda keep trying
-
CP, I'm glad you knew what Rob was talking about - left me for dead :-))
-
Sorry Judy. I could record a video to show you if you want? :)
-
It's fine thanks Rob - I don't have an iPad with a camera nor a fandangled phone (I have a Granny Nokia for emergencies) so I am more than happy to be able to take my photos with my DH's camera (I'm sure he doesn't realise it's his) and post my little efforts on the forum. It sure beats posting none in the early days so to me it was a great achievement and I am quite content with it. Thanks for your offer :-*
-
CP if you take a photo and it is upside down you should be able to select it and rotate it. The iPad I am using doesn't have a cmara so I can't do it and give you instructions but I regularly rotate photos in other media.
-
I had a quick look, it's fairly basic. It's actually a good thing to remember cos the other way I kept putting my finger over the camera :D I think that's why Steve did it like this ;)
