Hi Janina! Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to get information about Thermomix! When I was researching the Thermomix, the only thing that was a concern was the price. Expensive outlay at the start but then I found after I had my pantry basics I was actually saving money in our weekly shop. It's such a good feeling as well when your shopping list is almost full of fruit and vege!! After nearly two years I still use it at least once a day, it even comes on holidays with us!  ;D

I remember when I was a young girl my mum tricked me into eating brains. She told me they were "big marrow" as I use to love the bone marrow in lamb chops!  UGH!!! I also remember mum cooking ox tongue in a big pot on the stove. Scary stuff for an eight year old!!!

Yes, I always rinse the suds off too. I also put hand cream on before my rubber gloves and the heat from the water helps it to absorb  ;D

Hi MamaMix, I like Tenina's For Food's Sake and also Quick Fix In The Thermomix. If you like Indian, there are some nice recipes and pastes in the Indian cookbook such as Butter Chicken, Tikka paste, Chicken In Yoghurt ....... I think those recipes are actually posted on this forum  ;) I've also got so many recipes that I have printed off from here just waiting to be made!

Introduce Yourself / Hello at last!
« on: July 10, 2012, 06:49:29 am »
I have been a member for quite some time and have enjoyed reading the forum but have never made a post, I think its well overdue to introduce myself! I'm a mum of two, DD 4years and DS 7 months, living in Perth. I've had my TMX for nearly 2 years and still love it as much as the first day I got it! It took a bit of convincing my DH to purchase one but he is now totally converted!! I look forward to chatting with you and posting reviews in the future :)
