« on: June 20, 2013, 06:05:38 am »
I was in a rush when I registered and although Nearly There seemed like a good idea at the time. It got old quick, so I have updated my name to a Tag I have had for many years (Don't know why I didn't use it to begin with) So Hi from Lovely-lindaloo. I have had my thermomix for just over 2 weeks now and have made

Hainanese Rice & Chicken X 2
3 different bread recipes
Olive and Sundried tomato scrolls
Cornflake biscuits
Cranberry and white chocolate biscuits
Mash potato
Chopped veggies for cottage pie.
Sweet chilli Sauce
Sous Vide eggs
Vegie patties
Wholemeal Rhubarb & Almond Muffins
Broccoli & Spinach soup
Cajun Pumpkin soup
Cauliflower & Leek soup
Porridge every work morning
Matcha Tea Latte
Butter with grapeseed oil
Fruit bread
Chicken mushroom and bacon risotto
Steamed ginger syrup pudding

Needless to say I am having a great time and have a long list of things I want to make NEXT LOL.

I love checking out this forum and find that time gets away from me once I start looking around.

I was in a rush to register when I did, and although at the time I liked the name NearlyThere, Now I want to change it, is that possible?

I am sure it is here somewhere, but i can't find it.  ???

Is there a guide for converting regular recipe measurements of I cup etc into weights?

Thanks in advance  :)

Bread / brioche scrolls - savoury?
« on: June 04, 2013, 01:29:29 am »
I was thinking of making savoury scrolls and liked the look of the brioche dough. Does brioche suite savoury or only sweet?

I needed the zest of 5 oranges on the weekend and now I have 5 naked oranges. Got my Thermie today :) so I am game and looking for something to do with them?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

So I have less than a week to wait now and am getting a bit organised.(little bit like planning for a baby really lol)

So I have jars  cleaned and ready to go. Have cleared out some old processed food from the pantry to make room. Have used up a few home made frozen meals to make room in the freezer.

Now I just need to plan meals for the week and do the shopping. I have a few ideas and will be cooking cauliflower soup as I
I bought  the cauliflower and then my stick blender dropped it's insides into the pumpkin soup DD was making (fate I feel) on the weekend.

What did you make when you first got yours?

Or what did you purchase in preparation?

They really should give you the cookbook when u order to help you plan. Thanks in advance  :) :)

Introduce Yourself / Hi from Mildura, Victoria
« on: May 07, 2013, 07:13:20 am »
Hi, I am not a Thermomix owner yet, but I am nearly there. I always wished as a child that I could be a grown up, and I am Nearly there too  ;)

I love to cook and I am always looking for easier ways to prepare healthy home prepared, nutritious food. My Husband and I will often spend a day of our precious weekend in the kitchen together whipping up all sorts of yummy meals for the week and trying new recipes. I am a intuitive cook and will ready several recipes of what I want to cook and then head to the kitchen and make what I think. This usually works.

I have a suspicion that I will need to follow recipes for a while when I do eventually get my Thermie, Just to learn how to use it properly, then watch out.

I have been busy reading posts on this forum for several weeks and so I though it was about time I introduced myself.

HI !!!! :D
