I got some at the health food stall at Vic Market in Melbourne, which makes me think it must be pretty easy to get elsewhere, but sounds like you have already organised some.

I like Dot's idea of a brochure, then there can be no dispute or discussion, everything is set out, extras are costed out, etc.  this then makes the whole endeavour a business transaction and you all know where you stand.

Amy, I think you have got a fair idea that we are all here to support you.  Just one thing that hasn't been mentioned is to make sure you also send a copy of your complaint / resignation letter to more than one of your bosses / managers if at all feasible to ensure that it doesn't get 'lost' in someone's rubbish bin - and mark the letter appropriately to show who is getting copies of it.

Bullying is a terrible thing and no one should have to go through what you are going through.  Stand firm and, if you do leave, you will know that you have hopefully saved future employees from going through what you have experienced.

I drain it but don't rinse it.  I hardly ever used canned corn, I prefer frozen because I find the canned stuff has an unpleasant taste - but your question makes me wonder if I rinsed it would it taste better?  Must try that and see.

I never do this, because I like my rinsing water to be warm, but I am told that cold water is better to wash off soap residue and suds than warm or hot rinsing water.

Cookie, do you use just icing sugar for the ants, or mix it with something else?  I'm always concerned when I use borax that some lizards, etc. might eat it and die and I would hate for that to happen (huntsmen excepted, of course!)

Crochet is easy - I taught myself just using books.  I'm not a neat crocheter by any means, but it's good fun, it's easy and, best of all, anything you crochet 'grows' more quickly than knitting as the rows are wider.

Thanks for that, Uni, I'm sorely tempted to make this a winter evening pass time.  Hope you have a great day.

Hi everyone, my first time back on this thread for ages and it has taken a lot of catching up!

Maybe a corny question, Uni, but do you have the pattern for the tea towels?  Even just a rough guide would be helpful.  Do you hand sew them on to the TT or crochet them on?  I assume you do not cut the TT, just add the crochet to one end? Ta.

Yes, that silver cleaning method is really good, I had forgotten about it, but have used it often in the past - just make sure each silver item is touching the foil.  Another way is to put the silver into one of those foil baking dishes that you may use on a barbecue, etc. and that does the trick as well.

Thanks for posting these CP.

Just a note re. Borax - make sure you rinse everything well and wear gloves as it is either toxic or poisonous - I can't remember which, but just a note to take care when using it.

By the way, borax mixed with honey put in an ant's 'walk way' is a good way of getting rid of ants - takes a few days, but works really well.

I love gardening, once I get started I find it hard to stop, but it's the getting started that is my problem!  I'm not a cold weather person, so it's in front of the fire for me at this time of year but, give me a 20 - 25 degree day and I love being outside and pottering about.
