I bought myself a mothers day present...the Sunbeam Duo Sous Vide & Slow Cooker (because I need another appliance NOT).  I did however resist the new Women's Weekly cookbooks that were in the supermarket...Slow Cooker 3 and a couple of others that I can't remember the name of.  Luckily we are about to place an order on one of our suppliers so I can stock up on the cooking vacuum seal bags that I now need :).

Stacelee, Yvette and I will be very interested in what you think of this machine. We have been tempted.
Have you seen this thread?

I love the carrot "sharpener".
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Thought it was nifty, makes quick carrot roses, or cucumber ones for that matter.....have worded the boy child up that it's not for  his jumbo pencils  :P

I have just been in to my local bakery to ask if they'd sell me bakers flour directly. They were happy to help me out as long as I call them before a Thursday which is their ordering day. So I'm buying 25KG for only $30. So cheap!

Isn't that expensive for an eBook astarra  :o  I thought that was the point of eBooks, they can be sold so much cheaper than the real thing.

Yep it is expensive - I just hope it is worth it now,  :-\
I do use my slowcooker alot so hoping I get my $$ worth. There is over 500 recipes and my motto is $1/recipe I will use I can buy it. Told DH it was a mother's day present to myself.  ;) If I use 50 recipes I'll be happy, and have more than 50 bookmarked. Still is expensive tho, I do agree!  :o

Today I bought a new kettle after the not so old one tripped a safety switch thus turning the power off to the house. Took me ages to work out it was the kettle. Was home alone and somehow convinced myself a stranger had done it to lure me out of the house :D

I know that feeling Kimmy,  our washing machine trips our circuit breaker every month or so & we find it super annoying,  it took us ages to work out which appliance it was too :/
What sort of kettle did you choose?

Edited for typo
