It looks very grand Gert. I hope the cockroaches don't break through the barriers to the 'glue' stuff.  :'(

Good point cookie. Just but it for a bit of fun. Didn't put it on perfectly  but DH likes it and a bit of a change for a few months.

re: tortilla warmers/pancake warmer......I've had a silicone one for years, but found there's too much condensation, so I picked up an aldi one today, as well as the handle balti dishes

Also after my cheese making class last weekend, I ordered the book before I make a trip to "Cheeselinks" to get supplies

.....oh my....but the cheese cake I planned for Mother's Day, had me traipsing all over  town looking for matcha powder  :-)) no love....so off to a specialty coffee house tomorrow!....it better kick ass for all this effort  :P

....I actually think this one is better than the first book.

Welcome back Maddie. After posting the links to the Aldi catalogue I forgot all about going there. Might have to go today and see what's left.

Super shopping Maddy. I agree about the slow cooker book, although I find both of them useful.

Nice Deedub :)
Great idea to get a kids tv with built-in DVD!

ALDI had some good things today (I'm trying to resist the Indian servingware) but I did get a "Tortilla warmer" ... I think everyone needs one ;) I've been looking for a particular pancake warmer ever since seeing one on Nigella Express... this tortilla warmer is the closest I've found

That is hilarious! That's the EXACT reason I bought the tortilla warmer too. The episode for the pancake thing was when she made them for her daughter with the blueberry sauce if I'm not mistaken!

I'm very excited to have joined a food coop in Toowoomba after being directed there via Quirky Jo. Can't wait to be doing some orders for some stuff which I usually couldn't afford.

... I just use my Thermoserver :)

I bought myself a mothers day present...the Sunbeam Duo Sous Vide & Slow Cooker (because I need another appliance NOT).  I did however resist the new Women's Weekly cookbooks that were in the supermarket...Slow Cooker 3 and a couple of others that I can't remember the name of.  Luckily we are about to place an order on one of our suppliers so I can stock up on the cooking vacuum seal bags that I now need :).

I also bought myself a Mother's Day present. Parlux 3500 hair dryer...minimises the frizz and makes the hair look silky and smooth. My hair dresser uses it - and I was impressed with  the difference it made to my hair.
