Do what you can for him Hally, obviously no one else has bothered.  Hope you get extra help from the department for what you are doing for lr.

Thank goodness he has been moved from that care (or lack of care). That is so wrong.  :'(

Love the slow cooker Judy.

Hally, dob the carer in, look after LR, and see if you can have him most of the time. :)

He is lucky to have  you :)

Hally you are truly one in a million. It breaks my heart to hear how so many kids don't receive even the basics that we take e for granted. Our lives are so comfortable compared to so many others. I'm sure this is also a fantastic learning experience for cp and he will appreciate all he as even more than I'm sure he already does.

Yes we all live in a golden circle compared to these kids. I was very stressed out yesterday wih it all, I must learn not to stress so much :)

We had a litte special needs boy for  2 1/2 year, he was 20 months when we started caring for him, cp was 4. His negect was shocking, he was in a terrible way.

Special needs boy, no idea, went back to his birth mother who was then murdered by her new husband :o

Lr was taken from his mum at birth in the hospital.

Is that the one that is green & similar functions to the Varoma? I've heard the recipes are good.

I don't have that one but I bought the 6 cup Nordic ware rice cooker for the microwave  when my 15 year  old one died.

It was only $16 from Peters.  http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/Public/Nordic-Ware-Microwave-Rice-Cooker.aspx

I though I would steam some veggies in it as per instructions and it was spot on . Much better than the Varoma or even my steam pot on the stove.i as really surprised how good they were. There is an 8 cup version too.

DH tossed the instructions but I found them. Easily on line from this web site.  http://www.fixya.com/support/t993256-manual

This is a fun web site with a fun name Fixya and it does.
