I saw this book in a newsagent today. After looking through it I decided I needed it as it will soon be winter.

Very interesting Kim - Mine is an L Tremaine also French. Weird.

Lots of shopping ahead for you :) I can recommend 2nds world for washers etc - they are sooo mcuh cheaper than anywhere else and mostly just because the box is damaged or there is a scratch on the side or the back or something. (Which you'll never see once installed anyway)

Can't wait for the shopping updates.

Thx jadey 😁

Im not saying they arent from france as i certainly dont presume to know everything about the wonderful country but after twelve years and all the different ppl i know and areas all over france i never came across them and couldnt find them to buy anywhere either except have them imported..and knew nobody who had one.. After reading apparently its something invented in the 16th century in france but nobody is clear about its origin and went out of style once refrigeration came in.. In the 1970s they were marketed in the US as french butter dishes.. Even when i search for different names in french all the links tht come up are in english except one or two so for me its certainly an americanised product taken from a french idea??

Yvette, I think you were asking me ages ago about the ultimate pro from Tupperware. Well I have some, had enough sales from my party to get some free. Cooked turkey breast & roast veggies in them. Fantastic & just wiped clean. :)

I say that to myself all the time, but there's something about cookbooks (whether book form or ebook) that I can't seem to resist.  :P
