I am in Hampshire but I do have friends that live near Bedford.  It would mean me coming to you but I'd be happy to travel (especially since I could combine it with an evening of wine drinking at my friends.

If you want to send me a PM I'd be happy to do some digging to find out who is near to you.  Whyisthereair is my team leader (Jane Etherton) and I'd be happy to speak to her to find out if she has anyone that way but as far as I'm aware most of her team are London way (she lives in Farnham)

I just made this this morning.  I had some sweet potatoes that were getting close to their use by date and found this.  Absolutely delicious!  The peanut butter just lifts it up

I've also made some walnut bread.  I can't wait for it all to be ready so I can sit down with a lovely fresh roll and some soup.  That's liven'

Hi there, I've been a member of this forum for a couple of years and was once reasonably active   Life (tm) got in the way and I've been absent for a while so I thought I would re-introduce myself, especially as last month I did my demonstrator training and am now part of the UK team of Thermomix Demonstrators.

So, here goes - I'm Nicola, married with 3 boys (10, 8 next week and 4), we live in the South of England.  Boy1 has Aspergers and ADHD, boy2 is being assessed for Aspergers and also has ADHD boy 3 seems to be "normal"

I love and adore my Thermomix (like us all) as well as this mornings demonstration I've also cooked carrot cake, chocolate chip cookies and a risotto for tea tonight.  Yet to be done tonight is a mixed berry sorbet and a rhubarb compote

Even tho' I've held only 2 demonstrations and am yet to sell one I love my job

I hope to be around a bit more now swapping ideas, recipes and tips.

One word of advice tho' don't store it in the thermomix- my DH thought would be the best place for it, sadly i didn't check before I start chucking things in- Crunch!!! I was not happy

Yeah, I learnt that the hard way too.  Man those blades are strong!

I was really good the other day when the Lakelands catalogue was delivered ... I put it straight in the recycling bin.

Lakelands is absolutely great but full of stuff that you didn't know you needed and as I couldn't think of anything I needed right now I thought it best to stay ignorant

I love things like risotto, hollandaise and custard but have never tried to cook them myself as they seem too difficult - I'd be likely to muck them up. I quite enjoy cooking but am not very skilled at it, so usually end up making basic things for dinner when I come home from work.  It would be great to have more variety and from what I can see the TMX makes that much easier to achieve.  There are so many happy customers who use it often and are full of praise for what it can do, despite their initial doubts.

Hmmm it seems I've almost persuaded myself.. but need to see it in action first.  Will let you know what I think after the demo!

I've always really enjoyed cooking and felt myself fairly good at it.  Since getting the TMX tho' - over a year ago - my cooking confidence has soared.  I'm now making most of the family's bread, shortcrust pastry is a doddle, puff pastry isn't so difficult either.  I've made mayonnaise, custard, risotto, the list is probably almost endless.  I make our own stock pastes so there's none of the horrible additives in them.  Cakes and biscuits for the children are almost too easy.

There are so many recipes around on this forum that its easy to try new dishes.

I'm glad you enjoyed your demo today.  As everyone else has said - you won't look back.
