Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Is my blade blunt?
« on: August 23, 2015, 11:35:50 pm »
Hi Janet, it sounds like that could be the problem, try a carrot in the bowl and see how quickly that juices , my blades were fine for about three years, I bought new ones and have sharpened the old ones, they are ok for most things but not as sharp as the new ones.

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: "Raw flour" taste

Hello and welcome to the forum, when I read your posts my first thought was, something is wrong with the flour , what if you buy some fresh flour and have another go.  Maybe my PALLET ( been watching the Hotplate😃😃😃) isn't sensitive.

Julie I use this all the time and just keep in in the cupboard near the stove, I use it on lots of things, if I'm cooking in the AF just give the pastries (raw) a quick brush,  the Jaffel iron in the open fire,  etc .

Liz I use my Phillips pasta maker at least twice a week,  as Cookie says, noodles in stir fry as well as pasta and lasagne,  my DD calls in for a double quantity every week . I have a manual machine which really turned me off fresh pasta it was a pain to use.  Next on my list is prawn ravioli.
