Yesterday  DD took me to St. Vincent's hospital in the city for some oesophagus tests.  I won't know the results for a couple of weeks.    It was a long and tiring day and I was glad to get home.  I was DD's first time driving to the centre of the city and she did a great job.

Cookie, GD had that happen to her, she rang her mum to ask how to get it out of her toaster.  It had dripped down her shelves and into the toaster.  Mum's advice throw out the toaster.

I'm back home after a second trip to hospital.  This time at Monash in Clayton.  I spent a week there this time and was only allowed home if I agreed to have a nasal gastric tube in just in case things decided to play up again and I would be able to use it to feed myself with a liquid food that was supplied.  Hopefully the tube will come out next week as I have to have a manometry done at St. Vincents in Melbourne.  There is no guarantee that his won't happen again so I have to be very careful about what I eat.

Just before I went to hospital my computer died and I had to take it to a local man to get a new hard drive.  I am now using Windows 11 and I just can't get used to it.  Fortunately the repair man was able to save all my files etc  but everything is so different on the new one and I am having trouble trying to find things.  Although I had backed up a lot of things recently I was worried I might have lost all my family history that I have been working on luckily it is still there if I could just find it.  I rang the repair man this morning and he has kindly offered to come at 2.30 tomorrow to show me how to use it.

Mab and K Atie - are you OK?  I haven't seen your names up on the forum for a few days.  Perhaps you are like me, keeping an eye on things but feeling a bit grotty or perhaps busy, so keeping quiet.  Take care

Judy, thank you for your concern  but i am fine.  The hard drive in my computer died and it is  away being repaired, hopefully i'll have it back this week.  I'm  using DS tablet at the moment.  I've  been keeping busy with a couple more dr appointments, all good there, GD and fiance came down from Qld for my 80th birthday and a family lunch at the Italian  restaurant  we like.  It was the first time all the family had been together in 5 years.  I've  also been cooking a lot fot the freezer and family.  I hope to be back on the forum sometime this week.

Marina, you certainly have had an awful time with your foot and now your leg.
Katy, steam burns can be very nasty I hope yours is healing now..  A couple of months ago when I was straining the vegetables the lid on the saucepan slipped and the boiling water went over my hand.
Judy, I'm sorry to hear that you were unwell when you came back from Chookies.  I'm sure you will be able to use some of the new ideas and be able to introduce them to your diet slowly.

I've had a very busy couple of days with appointments.  I saw the gastrologist at the local hospital yesterday to discuss what the gastrologist at Clayton had to say and to discuss my hospital visit and results.
This morning I had blood tests done and then a visit to my doctor in the afternoon.  It's been a busy day with more appointments to come.
