Vegetarian / Simple Cauliflower Cheese (with pic)
« on: June 28, 2010, 01:52:15 pm »
  Name of Recipe:  Cauliflower Cheese

Ingredients:

1/2 cauliflower
1 Batch of the EDC Bechamel Cheese Sauce ( I do not add the nutmeg in as it doesnt suit our taste buds and I only add cheese and not the mustard or paprika). Follow Bechamel recipe and then add cheese in to make it cheese sauce.
Extra Cheese for Grating on Top

Preparation:

Steam your cauli either in the Varoma or any conventional method.  I often just throw the raw cauli in my tupperware jug with a bit of water in the bottom and microwave it whilst making the bechamel.

In the meantime make a batch of the EDC Bechamel Sauce and then add 60g cheese and follow EDC recipe to make the cheese sauce.

Pour over Cauliflower in oven baking dish

Grate cheese on top and place in oven to heat through.  I put in a hot oven around 180 until heated and brown on top

Introduce Yourself / New to forum: another Perthie
« on: May 23, 2010, 06:28:45 am »
Hi everyone

Ive had my thermomix for just over one year.  Love it love it love it!!!  Mum to two girls 3 yrs and 7 yrs.  Live SOR Perth.  Notice lots of Perthies here.  Who said Perthies werent Foodies?

Was told by DH that there was no way in a million years I was getting a kitchen "gadget" almost 2K (given that the ole George Formann's, Sunbeam Juicer, Pie Maker had pride of place never to be gotten out at back of pantry).  Booked a demo anyway, told the consultant Id think about it, only to be pushed past over my shoulder with dh wielding the credit card saying "yep we'll get one"  :)

Love the fact that we know exactly whats going into our food, the time saving and most of all has made me try things I would have never bothered too before.

Did I say I love it???   ;)
