I would hate to think what might’ jump ‘ into the basket if any of our GC did the Supermarket shopping. Well done KAtie DS.
Another day in the garden. Heavy stuff today.

Congratulations to your DS KAtie. He did well.
The first time my DH did the shopping by himself was many years ago. He had DD with him, who was about 6 or so. She was disgusted with him as he bought each item as it was on the list. They bought fruit and then went to the cereal section and then back to get veggies and then somewhere else in the shop. DD apparently wanted to take over as they were walking all over the shop.

DD is working today and DH has gone over to his Mum's house to do some jobs that need doing. It suffered a bit of damage in the wild winds we had. Unfortunately an empty house seems to deteriorate quickly.

Did 3 hours of heavy digging yesterday.  Warning. Don’t plant Lemon Balm in the garden. It takes over and forms a solid mat. While clearing the bed , found some carrots that I had forgotten.
Going to get a tree trimming firm in to cut the top off the cypress trees as they are shading the veggie garden.

Chookie, if the arborists are any good and willing to come over our way, could you send me their contact details please .. we've got a dead poplar tree near the house that needs to be sorted out.

Yesterday, for the first time in goodness knows how long, I got my washing hung out,dry and put away in one day.

That's quite an achievement Marina. We have sunshine again today and I will be able to do the same.
A bit of housework here today. We have a fairly busy week ahead of us.

Marina I managed to wash two blankets and they were totally dry at the end of the day . Chookie I did tell DS that he could get what he liked , amazingly only got a tub of ice cream for his dad . Added to this he apparently rang his sister to tell her what he was doing , probably because he couldn’t find things !!

I went to the eye specialist this morning and grocery shopping this afternoon. I need to go back to the specialist in 6 months. We are watching my cataracts. 😀😀😀

I will be interested how your sight is after the surgery and recovery Chookie.

We drove down to Bunbury today to an Aunt’s funeral. She was 97. Sadly she fell and broke her hip. Surgery was successful but she died suddenly. It was lovely to catch up with my cousins. We used to spend 2 weeks there every year when I was growing up.

That is sad cookie, falls when you age can have dire consequences.

That was a slow growing cataract Chookie, the ops seem to be very successful from what I’ve heard.

Chookie and Cookie good luck with your cataract removal procedures.

Spent last night in hospital doing a sleep study - recommended due to heavy snoring and possible apnoea. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated as all the wiring was wifi so I could move freely and get up and walk around my room.  I actually had a better sleep than I had anticipated - perhaps the fact that I had been awake since 1.30 am yesterday morning helped to knock me out!
