Good morning everyone, very windy here.

The photos are beautiful Cookie, they remind me of our triip to WA when the wild floweres were out.

Thanks Margaret. There are lots of vans from over your side of the country.
Would you believe it is beautiful and sunny this morning. We have heard that the Coalseam over at Mingenew is closed because the road is too wet! We will check before we go over that way.

We visited that area when we stayed at Mullewa Cookie and found lots of beautiful native orchids there.  Good memories.

We went up to Lots of old train sidings today and on up to Mullewa. Our friends were laughing at the names of the sidings- Pintharuka, Gutha, and Canna.
From Mullewa we went down to The Coalseam at Mingenew, then back to Morawa. We saw some lovely orchids and heaps of other wildflowers. The everlastings were brilliant.
I have made one photo of the orchids we saw.
They are the donkey orchid, spider orchid, green snail orchid and fairy orchid.

Good morning everyone.

Very clever photo cookie.  Are there other people touring the area or are you off the beaten track.

It’s very busy Judy.  Lots of grey nomads from all over Australia. We have Victorians on one side of us and next to our friends there are people from Queensland in their van.
We are in Dalwallinu tonight. We just went down town and had a coffee at the bakery.
We have been past Perenjori, Latham, Caron, and Wubin.
I have taken my jumper off at the moment, it is lovely and sunny.  It was 2.5 degrees in Morawa last night-freezing.
We found some more of the Hairy, Green Snail orchid at Caron. The other photo is just out of Wubin.

We have arrived home after a great, fun 4 sleeps. It was lovely to have our friends away too as the 4 of us have fun together. Sadly they can't get away very often as they have pets and no one to care for them.
We came home via Miling, Bindi-Bindi, Walebing, New Norcia and Bindoon. New Norcia is a monastic (?) town. It has a Benedictine monastery there. They had a girls boarding school and a boys one but they closed long ago. The monks have a bakery and I was able to buy some bread from there. It is stone ground flour and baked in their wood fired ovens. We had a slice of the Rosemary, Olive and Sundried tomato loaf for morning tea and it was very nice.

We stopped off at the Bindoon bakery for lunch and it was delicious. They didn't have any smoked SD left so I bought one of their everyday SD loaves. I will be interested to see what it is like.
