New EDC - Fruity dream (soft serve ice cream)
« on: May 18, 2014, 01:33:18 pm »
We made this tonight raspberry & blueberry & it was very yummy. A tip I learnt from my consultant when making it the blades aren't turning easily just add a little water until it starts to blend.

This is awesome with frozen mango too kmw. And strawberries. I don't use any sugar in mine, whizz up the mango and add an egg white.
YUM!
My kids think it is a really naughty dessert!  ;D

I haven't tried mango, definitely a favourite now as my DH avoids dairy as much as he can.  We reduced the sugar but I think we should give it a go sugar free.

Do try kmw. I don't put any sugar in as I buy strawbs from the farm here and wash and freeze them whole (don't even take the green tops off, once it is all blended - no body can see the extra goodness!) They are sweet enough as it is.
Mango is the same, I just get them good and ripe, take the cheeks off, de-skin them and freeze as well.
Then I have fruit ready to go all year round.
Haven't tried any other fruit, (only because these are the faves in the house)  but fruit in season and ripe - maybe even a bit over ripe and it is all sweet and yummy!

Made for a quick dessert last night with raspberry and blueberries. Very yummy. I froze the leftovers and put them on the bench whilst we ate mains tonight and they were right to eat when done. Like the water tip kmw. Thanks.

We do this one alot as it is DF - use coconut milk option rather than the egg white.
mainly use Raspberries here, then freeze leftovers in single serve portions for treats!!! :)
