Ok my f/night is over. My spending was $448 so just under budget. Very happy with myself :D

keiramax eventhough I'm not taking part it's got me thinking of all our expenses and the need to track them for a while. I think our spending has been a bit unconstrained for a while so could do with some bringing into line.

Driving along the Kennedy Highway today I could have picked up enough road kill to have wallaby stew for the next five years. Now that would have been a huge saving.

I know a lady who used to pick up roadkill and cook it for her dogs so she didn't have to buy dog food :-X

A friend purchased wallaby shanks at the market last week - he could have saved some money by the sounds of it!

This was at the Mindil Markets on tHe beach at sunset. Spectacular.  People were lined up. Yum roast wild piggies. kangaroo shanks, croc steaks.

I remember that market from 1970 Gert, I used to go for the beef sartees - no such thing as roadkill back then to my knowledge.

I've heard about that roadkill cafe... its always seemed a bit off to me though... :-))

I don't think road kill would be very good for dogs to eat. Imagine all the bruising and toxins in an animal that has been killed by a car, truck or bus. :o
