It makes it even more real somehow Chookie. We were modern in our cooking/eating today. We went to a Krispy Kreme that has opened near our local Westfield. Very exciting. We had a lovely coffee and were given a free doughnut.

Love Kirsty Kreme, I always had one if I was going through the airport in Melbourne but we have our own here now too - only been there once on the way home with the kids from a city function. They are the lightest donut you’ll find anywhere.

I have never had one of those Donuts but do like the ones from the caravan at the Queen Vic Market.
Warm today, 24.
Each day I pull out a Tomato bush and make something with the Green tomatoes. I replant the pot with Autumn veggies.  The tomatoes will not ripen now..

I have often thought of going to see the Begonia Festival, but never quite got around to it and had, in fact, forgotten about it.  Maybe I will eventually get to it some other year.

There is also a Rare Trades Festival on in Bendigo each year ... another one that would be interesting to visit, but always forget about it as well!

I'm not entirely sure, but cooperage, probably traditional tool making, violin making (that one I am sure of!), probably harness making, stone masonry, furniture making, etc ... things like that; trades that used to be common but are now becoming less common or hobby makers only.

Trades and crafts? Difficult to separate. Weaving, spinning, dyeing and tanning leather, paper making.
22 today and sunny, lovely.

I googled it and you are both correct. It would have been on earlier this month, but was cancelled due to Covid.

Warm and steamy here, Very humid. It was 27 when DD went to work just before 7am.

I hope you have a lovely time with your visitors Chookie and Ral.

Cooler here today, but still very humid. They say the humidity should clear by the weekend.

Had a great time with Bruce and Mandy.  You may remember them.  They came to help when CC came to visit.
A group of friends are coming next week.  Everyone brings their lunch and something to share.  We are going to set up a table and chairs by the dam.  The weather looks good.  RAL will make coffee in thermos flasks and I will make the green tomato cake to share.
We used to do this regularly at Mt Macedon when we lived at Cherokee.
