Mab I know how you feel. We have one clock that we can't set, we have to wait for DD to do it. I would be happy with a normal clock in the bedroom but DH cant stand them ticking, or even clicking.

I wouldnít be able to sleep if I could hear the ticking of a clock either cookie, I think the one in my bedroom might be making a faint sound but with my hearing I donít hear it.  For an alarm clock Iím using one of those old type travel clocks which Iíve had for 58 years.  The case has fallen off but I just stand it up against the clock radio, I just find it so much easier to set and I trust it completely whereas the digital ones youíve only got to forget to do something and you get caught out.

I agree with you both re instructions being impossible. I bought a digital cube radio from Costco and had no idea how to set it up.  I obviously fluked some of the stations but none that Iíd listen to. Itís all too hard.

Loved the quotes you wrote Marina.
