Chit Chat / Website for Easy Asian Recipes
« on: January 25, 2013, 03:41:07 am »
I recall a forum member mentioning sometime ago that they were looking for more Asian type recipes/dishes? Anyway, I found this website recently and have made two dishes (Thai Jungle Curry and Sweet and Sour Chicken) and have loved both - very authentic flavours. This is not TMX-based, but I'm sure some clever and more experienced members would be able to convert the recipes without any problems.

Website details is www.rasamalaysia.com. The author/blogger is a Malaysian native living in the US.

Chit Chat / Is TMX or Hot Mix Pro available in the US?
« on: September 25, 2012, 08:20:18 am »
Apologies in advance if there is a thread on this already, I did check first but didn't find any. Anyway, we have decided to relocate to the US so I am wondering if TMX or the HMP are available for purchase there? Naturally because of the different voltage, I cannot take my Australian TMX with me so will have to buy another machine when I get there.

Thanks  :)

Hi, I'm hoping someone, more of a baking goddess than moi, will be able to help me.

I would like to make a batch of these as cupcakes to take to work on Monday. However, I would also like to have a couple to give to the babysitter for the Saturday night before the Monday. So my question is: can I cook and ice these cupcakes on Saturday and they will still be good for eating on Monday morning at work? If yes, should these be kept in an airtight container in fridge?
Alternatively, would it be better for me to bake the cupcakes and make the vanilla frosting on Saturday. Ice a few on Saturday for the babysitter and then ice the ones for Monday on Sunday night?

All suggestions/advice most gratefully welcomed. Thanks  :)

Chit Chat / Suggestions for fat free sweet treats please?
« on: June 03, 2012, 04:11:39 pm »
Does anyone have any fat-free sweet treats recipes, especially involving chocolates, that they could recommend? My DH has been working reallly hard fixing up our investment property for sale and so to say thanks I'd like to make him some sweet treats. I have been baking a few cakes which he has enjoyed but he is also trying to loose weight (only has to look at food to put on 10 kgs) so fat-free means he can indulge without feeling guilty or complaining that I'm trying to fatten him up. :)

Chit Chat / Cleaning Burnt Food From Bowl
« on: April 10, 2012, 01:23:42 pm »
Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I burnt the base of the TM bowl cooking a risotto tonight. I soaked it in cold soapy water straight away and have washed and scrubbed it(using scouring pad suitable for non-stick cookware) several times but the burnt colour is still there. Can anyone recommend how I might be able to safely remove this discolouration? Thanking you in advance.

Chit Chat / Is there a Perth Thermomix Group that Meets?
« on: February 16, 2012, 08:41:42 am »
Hi

I'm new to the forum and was wondering if there are other owners from Perth that meet or get together to share recipes/ideas/thermomix problems etc? Thanks Monica

Introduce Yourself / Hi from a very enthusiastic newbie
« on: February 16, 2012, 08:24:39 am »
Hi Everyone

After many many months of deliberation and assessing the cost/benefit of the thermomix vs thermochef, I finally succumbed and purchased the thermomix. I'm very excited and can't wait for it to arrive. However, hubby was dead against the purchase so I need to wow him with the first dish/meal I cook using the thermomix. I would like to cook a complete meal (using Varoma too) that is totally delicious. As such, any and all suggestions welcome. We like spicy foods and he actually cooks very good Indian curries. Thanks, mep
