What fun to get back into your kitchen to cook for Ral’s birthday Chookie. I’m sure everyone appreciated the food. Happy Birthday Ral. Sending hugs from both of us from the cold West.  (By our standards‼️)

What a feast for Ral's birthday - sounds like you were really in your element doing all that cooking - I was totally daunted by everything you made and I am sure Ral loved every minute of his very special birthday treat.  As my cousin would say HBTY Ral xxx

I made an apple cake the other day using this recipe.  I didn’t have mango so put in apple.

Everyone liked it, even the budgie.

I made another Apple Cake today. This time from the Kanzi Apple website. We haven’t cut it yet.

I made some Cornflake Biscuits this morning.  Instead of choc chips (DH doesn't like them) I used sultanas, cherries & chopped pecans

Yes, the next one won’t be an apple cake. 😀😀 Your biscuits sound delicious Mab.
I didn’t do any cooking today, only sausage rolls for dinner.

Yesterday I made a casserole in the SC and a pot of vegetable soup.  These are for DS (no2) who is heading off to house sit for a friend for 6 weeks.  I have a feeling he will be home in a few days to see what else I have in the freezer.
