Hey guys!
I've been silently stalking the forum since August, having 3 of my sisters who already own a Thermomix, I've been biding my time until i finally took the plunge! I put my order in on the 11th September and had my demo last Sunday! I'm now waiting patiently for my new toy to arrive, even the darling BF is pretty excited to use it :)

Welcome to the forum shellshadies. Its great when people come and introduce themselves after "stalking" us all :D :D Just "Googled" where Townsville is located ;) It looks a beautiful place. ;D
-
Haha thankyou! i thought it was about time to join the party ;) We're slightly north and it is an amazing part of the country!
-
Welcome to the forum, are your sisters forum members.?
-
Hello and welcome. Wow 4 in the family with thermomixers. Bet you could have fun if you all got together to cook!
-
I've just introduced the youngest sister to the forum she's up visiting from NSW! I'll have to get her onto introductions :)
-
Nice to have you on board shellshadies, that's a real Thermomix family you have there. This forum becomes part of the family too, so many great friendships have been formed over the years.

Thanks judydawn! it's a shame i live over 2,000km from them all :( or we could have some awesome thermie cookups! :) I believe Mum 'borrows' from my sisters when there away and would also love her own! Will have to get them all to join the forum!

Hey guys!
I've been silently stalking the forum since August...
Same here - there's so much useful information, and I appreciated finding the info about the possible new model before I ordered...

Me too lonnie! I wanted to order 2months ago but the incentives didn't appeal to me so I waited then stumbled along this amazing forum! So excited for Delivery, hopefully early next week before I head away for work

Welcome shellshadies I
am from Cairns and have owned my TMx can 5.5 years. We are lucky up here. Our bread will rise with the normal beautiful warm weather. A great advantage. How you sisters are joining. The forum as well. Perhaps we will have a Forum Fest :onext year on the east coast of the mainland where we can meet up!

Welcome shellshadies. :)
How many do you cook for?
-
Thanks Gert, the warmer weather has definitely set in the last week! I'll be sure to introduce the forum to all my thermie family shortly :)
I only cook for 2! Both myself and the BF work FIFO and are home 2 weeks a month, he's just as excited to use it as I am!

A belated welcome shellshadies. I am from WA but was very impressed with Townsville when we visited a few years ago. I love your look out.
-
Hi and welcome shellshadies. I can imagine the fun and the feasts you could produce if you all get together with your TMX's. My friend and I bought ours at the same time some years back and had fun with both of them on my bench and our husbands cooking prawn risotto for eight of us. Enjoy

Thankyou Deniser & Cookie I head up to the look out regularly, its a beautiful view!
Got a txt from my consultant today letting me know my status has changed to dispatched yipee :) will be all ready to go when I get home from work on the 16th!!

Finally received my TM5 a week ago today! Did a quick trip down to Canberra 'Thermie' in tow, my SIL and i cooked up a storm made (not in any particular order) custard, risotto, apple pie, vanilla bean paste, yoghurt, BCB Meatball, Quirky's Chocolate....
Had a fabulous time but very happy to home where it is warm :)
