Uni, do you HAVE to add butter to this?  Is there an alternative that would work the same?

Hi Feebee.  Welcome to the forum.  Working through all the above suggestions should keep you well and truly occupied until your TMX arrives.  Personally, I really love Greenies link to Quirky Jo's cashew and chicken recipe.  It is so easy and tasty.

I have found that the thing you need to concentrate on most is being organised.  Prepare and pre- measure all the ingredients BEFORE you start cooking as everything moves so fast you can easily find yourself running out of time when the next ingredient needs to be added to the jug.

Most of all, have fun.

Recipe Requests / Re: Worchestershire sauce

Treacle is a very dark colour and is a sugar based product.  I'm not sure what the equivalent might be in Belgium.  When Frozzie comes on she may be better able to answer that.  I also cannot answer the question re. using the re-hydrated prunes as the jam substitute.  If you hang around for a wee while, or wait 24 hours, you will probably get a good few responses that may be able to help you.

What a wonderful visit.  The photo of you both is lovely.  It's so nice when you meet your fellow forum friends, isn't it.  Enjoy the book.

Hi Stef, the receipe you are looking for is here.  I've made it several times now and it is very popular, but I would suggest leaving windows open whilst you are making it as it has quite a strong "aroma" - it's worth it though!

.... looks like Katya and I had the same idea at the same time.  Sorry for the duplication.

Just had to say, after seeing it several times, I just 'clicked' what QFITT is!  My brain must think it's still on holiday!

Do you think it would be possible to use a smaller quantity of stevia instead of the Splenda?

Welcome, GS.  Yes, the TMX is a great machine - wait until you've had it a while, you won't be able to live without it.  We'll be looking forward to hearing your adventures as time goes by.

We use an electric toothbrush and you can only get a small amount onto that, so less waste.

Does it really last that long, Cookie?  I've never really known and have been dumping mine within 5 days of making it.  I am absolutely delighted that it's shelf (fridge) life is that long.

Sound like you are an absolute marvel.  Keep strong and, even when (not if) things go wrong, i.e. if they are unwell, you will all come through and everyone will be happy and well again before you know it.  You've accepted a huge responsibility and your goodness is shining through.  You have my total admiration for what you are doing.

Non Thermomix Recipes / Re: Brandied Cherries

I'm not sure if you are referring to how to use up the brandied cherries or the cherries, but here's a recipe I made recently for Xmas gifts which turned out nicely and used a fair amount of cherries.

Welcome, Thermodiva.  Glad you have joined us thermofanatics, it's so interesting and helpful here.  We're getting a few more Melbourne / Victorian members now - maybe one day we can arrange some get-togethers like they do in Perth and Sydney.  That would be fun.
