The letter and "safety basics" leaflet received from Thermomix was conflicting as to whether or not the sealing ring for all TM31s had to be replaced with a green ring.
After contacting Thermomix to clarify, I was informed a green sealing ring needs to be used with all TM31's. These sealing rings can only be purchased through the online store.
As this is a safety issue, I feel it is an extremely poor customer service decision from head office. I believe a green sealing ring should have been automatically sent with the letter at no cost.

Is it worth purchasing a bread maker?  I frequently make bread in the Thermomix, however a bread maker would eliminate the time needed to hang around for the dough to rise & then cook.

Haven't had this salad in a very long time. It was my staple work lunch alternating with feta or a tin of tuna.

Thanks Kimmyh for the hint to place a tray underneath!   :). Can't wait to eat it with a big bowl of soup.

Chit Chat / Re: Does anyone own a Phillips Airfryer?

We bought a Tefal 2 in 1 actifry approximately 4 months ago. The quantity of roasted vegetables and or potato chips is enough for 4 adults. Roasted vegetables are cooked in approximately 35-40 minutes and taste great, crunchy with a non greasy aftertaste (1-2 tablespoons oil. The infused olive oils give a great flavour). The actifry also has an upper tray (programable timer alerts when to add the tray) which is good for cooking lamb chops, chicken etc. The actifry is easy to clean, doesn't heat the house and best of all (as a non meat eater), doesn't make the house stink of meat when used.  :D

:D this is a regular dish I frequently make, so tasty and easy to make! Generally omit chilli and use evaporated coconut milk instead.

This is by far my favourite Thermomix" cookbook. The presentation, use of fresh ingredients is so appealing. I do not eat meat/ chicken however cook it for my family obviously I have no idea what it tastes like and every dish that I have made from this book has been a huge hit!
 :)

This book sounds really appealing, I have one question though, can some of the main meal recipes can be adapted to not include meat or chicken. I have a lot of recipe books that I only use a few recipes from and I am running out of cupboard space! Many thanks. :-\ :-\

The minestrone soup was a huge hit! However 130gm pasta was way too much and next time I will halve the amount.
