I love satay sauce. my first tastes were in Broome over 40 years ago.

Yum, love satay.......if omitting the chilli, would it be suitable for young kids, or should I use less curry powder as well?

I used to omit the chilli when our kids were young and only use about 1 tsp of curry powder. I also use sweet chilli sauce sometimes as this cuts down the heat and makes it a bit sweeter.

I tried this tonight and it didn't really taste like satay sauce at all and wasn't thick enough. I don't seem to be having much success with TMX recipes this week.
Any tips?

Tasty i read the recipe b4 reading ur post, and was thinking that is lot of water maybe i could replace 1/2 of the water for coconut milk or cream. just a thought.

It isn't a real thick sauce but I do let it stand for about 1/2 an hour before serving and it thickens slightly.
