Had friends here yesterday afternoon who were coming back today with stuff for DH's pinata project so I invited them to lunch.  Luckily had enough stuff in the freezer to put on a casual meal which went as follows:- sundried tomato and cashew dip for starters, garlic oil and chilli pasta to accompany honey stir fry chicken winglets, cheese stuffed french roll and for dessert a choice of mango mousse or apricot or apple slice with custard.  I had the dip, roll and apple/apricot slice in the freezer, made the mousse and marinated the winglets last night so today all I had to do was the pasta, cook the chicken and make the custard.  Not feeling that well today but managed it quite easily.

Chicken breast in Varoma (stuffed & wrapped in clingfilm :o) with an amazing sweet red sherry sauce that was very very special

And last but not least Strawberry Foam

Bron that sounds yummy - I'd love to get those recipes - will you be posting them somewhere?

Made meatloaves using Bimby last night for Mrs T to take to the family.  Don't think the new GSon will be eating any??  I used to find chopping therapeutic and relaxing - now Bimby just blitzes it in 1/10 the time.  Luv U  Bi,by  :-* :-* :-* :-*

PS - thanks bron - the foam looks delish.

JD- hope you're feeling on the mend soon.

Bron - the strawberry foam and chicken dishes sound yum!

Brazen - hope you get some sleep tonight!

I'm about to whip up a double batch of my chocolate cake recipe (I'll write down the format as I go so I can post it) for DD's fairy birthday cake.  Can't believe how even at 3 how detailed the drama of a birthday cake is LOL!! :o :-)) :D :D

I've just read lots of pages from 'chit'chat' and everyone has been really busy and it seems that I have lots of new recipes to try.
When we were away I made quite a few sorbets, soups, risottos, custards and heaps and heaps of coffees. When the friends we were with tried the TMX coffee they would come armed with milk and say let's have coffee here. I suggested the poor things bring the milk as hi-lo milk was $4.95 for 2 litres there.
Today I've made stewed apple (with pysllium husks to thicken it) for the apple pie I'm making with left over short pastry, and white sauce to go with the chicken and aparagus and pasta dish that is dinner. I'll cook the pasta nearer dinner time.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
