I took the car into the garage to be serviced, then did a bit of shopping at the supermarket. Some cooking this afternoon.

Cookie we will be going up near Ulladulla for a few days and then back to Narooma. Jeninwa and Katj, I hope you both have an enjoyable holiday. 4205

McMich, I'm into my 70s now and I was able to get a 10 year licence. I live in Victoria so maybe our rules are different to yours. 4206

Thanks McMich, they were very nice. The recipe came from a Recipes Plus magazine and I only made half quantity as there are just the two of us.

I made this today for the latest challenge.
The walnuts were chopped for 15 seconds and became like butter, this seemed like a long time to me and I think next time I will reduce the time. I also reduced the sugar to 100g ( I do this in most tmx recipes). I cooked it in a loaf tin instead of a cake tin at the suggested temperature and it took a lot longer to cook, that maybe because of my oven as everything seems to take longer. All this said we liked the cake and I would make it again. 4209

You are a brave lady Gert.
We are getting ready to go away for a couple of weeks as soon as the school holidays are over so I booked my car in for a service today and then washed some clothes to freshen them up a bit. I also had to renew my licence, pay the rates and the registration on the car, so I hope there is enough left in the bank for the holiday. 4212

Cookie, your Pide looks very nice.
Cuilidh, we also like the Creamy Vegetable Casserole from Thermobexta. I sometimes make a half quantity and add a small tin of tuna to it and then put a crumble topping on it to make a tuna mornay. Last night we had Chick Pea Patties with mashed potato and steamed vegs. Not sure what we will have tonight. 4213

So glad you weren't hurt Judy. Cars can always be replaced, friends can't. Sending you hugs.

Lovely photo CC. My old aunt used to make up a syrup of some sort from rosehips many years ago, although I'm not sure what she used it for.
