sounds interesting jamberie,  have you made it before?
Yes Suzanne,  I've made it a few times before.  It's a simple one from her "Kitchen" recipe book. The only ingredients are butter,  vegemite,  spaghetti & parmesan. For the guests tonight I added bacon,  mushrooms and parsley. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it (including DD :) )

I look forward to hearing what you think... Not many people are game to try it. Nigella compares it to an Italian dish where stock is used and sometimes substituted for a stock cube. When thought of like that,  it is much easier to comprehend.

Usually I add two good sized teaspoons of vegemite to melted butter in a saucepan... Then pour this over a packet of spaghetti (cooked of course) and stir. Tonight I cooked the bacon in a tbsp or two of butter,  added the vegemite and chopped mushrooms. When the vegemite melted I mixed it through the spaghetti and then added a bunch of chopped parsley.
Dinner on the table in 15 minutes.
The best part was asking everyone to guess the secret ingredient :)

Oops sorry for the super long reply!
