« on: July 08, 2009, 01:30:52 am »
I just went to make muffins only to realised that my all time favourite recipe uses oats which aren't gluten free!  all the GF muffin recipes i have use baby rice cereal in them which i don't have (and refuse to buy as what else would i do with the stuff lol)

does anyone know what baby rice cereal is made from? if i milled brown rice flakes would that be ok?

Comments: I love my TM and the healthy benefits it has gifted my life and that of my family. I would love everyone to have a TM as it makes "Grandma's" cooking - that is cooking from scratch  - a breeze in our hectic busily lives. No need for prepackaged foods or sauces anymore, it really is quicker to make a meal in the TM than to go to the shops for takeaway. We have eliminated the majority of additives from our diet and not only do my family love eating food (and drinks) from the TM so do my friends and kids friends too. My kids love to use the TM and often make themselves breakfast or a quick cake or a family meal to share - they actually want to do these things because it's fun and technology put together. If I can assist you to have a demo and see for yourself the amazing things a TM can do please contact me

Comments: Before the 14th September 2010, I hated cooking & had zero confidence in the kitchen. This day changed my life. My Thermomix is the best thing I've ever owned. I only had it for 6 days & decided I had to become a consultant. I needed to share this amazing appliance with everyone.

Comments:  I have had my Thermomix for over a year and have not been able to stop using it or spreading the word about how fantastic it is.

I have seen the huge impact it has had on our diet and as a result I feel and look a lot healthier and am enjoying having more control over the food we eat.

I love the extra time I now get to spend with my family (and on 'me' time), as a result of the Thermomix cutting down the time I spend in the kitchen and helping me get much more organised.

Love my thermomix and use it all the time.  Originally had a TM21 (got it in 2004), have been the proud owner of a TM31 since October 2008.  Love how easy it makes it to make healthy, tasty food, and avoid wheat without losing flavour!

Recipe Requests / Cyndi's salt blend
« on: May 22, 2009, 11:32:06 am »
at the cooking class i went to cyndi o'meara talked about her salt mix to blend up instead of using the herbamare / vegeta etc

it was using rock or sea salt and some sort of seaweed thingie (kombu?) which i couldn't find anywhere and now can't remember what it was, but her site redesign means it's no longer in her FAQ's! (well i can't see any FAQ's at all)

does anyone know what it is she recommends and where i can get it online? i'm nearly out of herbamare!

Tips and Tricks / Reducing the fat & sugar content in cakes etc
« on: May 18, 2009, 10:38:08 am »
you can replace up to half the sugar and oil/butter in a cake with apple sauce :)

make the apple sauce by filling the thermomix with cored & quartered apples (can also use a few pears if they are overripe). add about 100g or so of water. cook for 7-10 mins at 90' speed 4.

I freeze it in small portions, around 150-180g so it's ready to go :)
