Thanks for such a warm and wonderful welcome. I am very passionate about cooking. It is better than watching TV. I import allot of product from the USA and Asia. It is a pitty that TMX is so protective of buying it cheaper from official overseas suppliers. I would understand if it was from non official suppliers. It will change one day but today is not the day.
I am looking forward to sharing in recipe creation,
Kind Regards
Wayne

Hi to all. I have owned a TMX for many years and use it on average every day. I joined this forum in 2010 but have never used it to its fullest potential. I will make sure that I start contributing to it a little more regularly. I was a consultant for a period of time and then got a job offer that was too good to refuse. I love all things cooking and love the technical side of the machine. My machine has been perfect and I love it to death. I never mistreat it and I always extol its virtues to the ends of the earth.
Kind Regards
Wayne

The parts from Spain are Genuine. You might note that quite a bit is cheaper from Spain and many countries in regards to Thermomix to be more competitive locally. You will note that they are selling brand new machines from Spain as well, with a very high positive feedback rating 99.6% and they have sold a stack of machines. This goes against the direct sales model of certain countries. Please note that you can walk into the office in Glen Iris Victoria and buy parts for your Thermomix and bypass the consultant or order directly from WA Australia via post. Spain is doing no different. In this case you can buy from them direct and they are posting to Australia. If somebody in Spain wanted to buy from Australia then they are more than welcome to I am sure.

A quick google Search will find that it is far cheaper to buy brand new blades in Germany (the home of Soligen Steel) than Australia and half the price to buy them from Spain. Postage from Spain is $8AUS (the same as it is in Australia)

I had the same with my Fisher and Paykel Washing machine. Interestingly they use a reluctance motor as well. When I reported it to FP they sent out a over sticker. Exactly the same sticker but to go over the top of the worn sticker. It did the job and kept the machine going for another 3 years with all the buttons working properly. (The main thing was to keep moisture from getting through the worn buttons) I cannot imagine a world where Thermomix would ever do this but then again... Come to think of it HP did the same thing as well with worn out buttons on their printer. They had a class action law suite going at the time. It might make a difference with that little bit of extra motivation. (not saying that this warrants a class action LOL) Maybe you can do the same with clear contact adhesive. Just a thought.
