Non Food Recipes / Essential oils for washing powder
« on: August 17, 2013, 07:54:29 am »
I would like to try making some of the laundry powder but I'm one of the people that likes a bit of scent in mine. Is there a certain type of oil that should be used? I've never tried anything like this before.  Thanks :-*

Thanks...it hasn't done it again so I'm thinking you are right and something was caught.  It's all done now and looks great with no burnt bits :D

I am making the veggie stock right now and have chopped everything no worries.  I am now 10 minutes in to the 20 minute cooking time on speed one, Varoma.  Once in a while the motor sounds like it's struggling and almost makes a grinding squealing sound and slows down like it's stuck.  Then after a couple seconds it's fine again. It's done this twice in 10 minutes.  Is that normal or should I be concerned?

Recipe Requests / Fish recipe using the lemon and garlic salt??
« on: August 13, 2013, 12:20:42 am »
I came across a seasoning someone posted and bookmarked it to make. It's a salt made with lemon, rosemary and garlic and it's supposed to be great with fish.
The problem is, I hate fish and never cook it but hubby loves it. I would like to make him something using this seasoning.  I would love any suggestions on recipes or really any recipe that is easy and full of flavour :D

Seafood and Fish / Re: Creamy Garlic Prawn Risotto

Made this with my neighbour this afternoon. I hate seafood but she said it was delicious and I took some home for my husband to have for lunch tomorrow. But now I am worried as people are saying it might not be nice reheated?  Has anybody's tried reheating it yet?

Recipe Requests / Re: Re: Re: What are your favourite quick lunches?

Quick lunches, probably plenty on here but the first one that came to mind was Garlic Oil & Chilli Pasta which is so easy to whip up if you have unexpected visitors for lunch.

We just had this tonight for dinner and it was amazing. Hubby was mopping up the bowl with the bread rolls I made and the house smells so good. I ran some over to my neighbour because she has been on the fence about buying so I let her sample everything I make. She loved it as well. Thanks for suggesting it.

Not sure if this is the right section or not :)  Just looking for some quick lunch ideas for when friends stop over that can be made in the thermomix.  Besides soup as that's always a given ;)

Soups / Re: Re: Thick Broccoli & Cheese Soup

This was also my first meal I made.  I brought it to my neighbours house and had it for lunch and we both loved it and my 3 year old had two bowls ;D. It was definitely a thick soup so I might thin it up a bit next time but it was delicious.

I have a question before I make this. Is the concentrated veggie stock the stock that is made in the TM? If I don't have this can I use regular veggie stock? Would it be the same amount?
