Hi all,
The news Perth has been waiting for! My first advanced Thermomix class is on the calendar! Souper Bowl, Floreat, July 27th, 7.30pm, $60 per head. Reserve your spot now; email bookings@cookingwithtenina.com More details to follow soon, but I couldn't hold the news in any longer. Exciting times ahead, hope you'll join in!
Can't wait to meet you all, Sydney and Melbourne are booked for the third week of August! I will keep you all posted with more details as they come to hand. ;D
-
Ooh that is close to when we go away. Off to check the calendar.
-
Darn - I have P & C meeting that night ... Hurry up and book another one in for Perth Tenina!!! :-* :-*

-
I have a demo that night! :(
What a shame :'(
-
And Tassie?? If you are coming all the way over to Melbourne surely you can zip across the water. ;D ;D ;D
-
I agree with Chelsea, Tassie needs an advanced TM Class. Launceston area would be good for me. lol.
-
ooooh...my demo just got moved to tomorrow night!! Might see you there!! ;D

Yes Yes Yes. Well I am anyway lol. I know quiet a few people with TM's that would love to go. What kind of numbers would you be needing to make it worth it for you?
-
There's two already Tenina ;D. Yes Launceston is central for all Dede. I'm sure we would all round up some TM friends to come along.
-
Well girls, two is a start…get me 40 and I'll come! I would prefer 50 of course, but beggars cant be choosers!
I am coming to Melbourne mid August so perhaps that might be a quick trip possibility for the Tasmanians??
The dates are confirmed as Wednesday night the 17th and Thursday morning the 18th but more details closer…concentrating on Perth right now.
;D ;D
-
I can't resisit, I'm coming. :D :D :D
-
Oh Cookie I am so jealous!! I wish there wasn't a P&C meeting THAT night :'( :'(
Not only will you get the class, I bet it turns into a mini get together as well!

Surely we can manage 40 for you Tenina. Are you able to advertise your classes on the official thermomix emails? I know this is a separate venture but that would be the best way of drawing a crowd.

posted here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6745.0) meagan :)

Chelsea do you know many consultants in Tassie. Was thinking if you could get them to email their customer data bases. That should get some numbers for you :)
-
Hi there, are you planning on any classes during school hours.
Thanks
Hally
-
Tenina, where is the souper bowl please? I've never heard of it.
-
Menu sounds delicious!! What fun :)
-
Tenina, the menu does sound fantastic. Shame I'm in northern NSW :( Wishing you all the best with your advanced classes!
-
Thanks for all the warm fuzzy feedback everyone, I am delighted that you see the need for advanced cooking classes with thermomix. I am totally trying to fill the gap, but it will take time and support. I have someone on my Facebook page that is trying to get Newcastle organised. If you want to go join FB if Newcastle sounds like a go, then please do and Tash will certainly get in touch with you. I have Tassie wanting to get organised on here, and a few on FB, so join forces folks, I will paste this link to my FB page as well.
And for you dearest Cookie, Souper Bowl is in Perth next Wednesday night in Floreat, email bookings@cookingwithetenina.com for payment and ticket info.
Souper Bowl will also be in Melbourne on August 17th night time, and 18th day time. You can email for those tickets as well, just specify which class you are interested in.
Hope this helps :) (Loving my new life!!) ;D ;D

I don't sadly Kathryn. Fiona (Tassie GL) told me in an email recently that there are now quite a few consultants in my area but I don't know any of them. :'(
-
Thanks Tenina. I'm thick (like soup) and didn't get the connection for souper bowl. I'm coming and payment will now be made that the bank details are corrected. I'm looking forward to it very much. It's just in time before we go away and leave the kids to the bills etc. No TMX though, that's coming with us.
-
YAY Cookie…SO happy you are coming…it will be great to put faces to names…tho I am thinking I met you already…was it you who won the gift hamper about a lifetime ago??
-
Good memory Tenina, it WAS Cookie!! I had forgotten about that til now :D
I am so sad to miss this the first time around - but I will be at the next one so plenty of warning please to make sure I don't have a demo booked!!!! ;D ;D
-
Sure was me Tenina. See you Wednesday.
-
Cookie, I thought souled owl was a stadium north of river, so your not the only one.lol

Kathryn are you going to the august 3 day time one instead?
-
No I don' think I can fit it in as my kids finish school at 2.30pm :'( :'(
-
Tenina, do you have dates for the Sydney one? I'd love to come but I have to book babysitters well in advance.
-
Sydney looks like it will be September….how do you feel about a daytime class?
What are your preferences? The location will be Alexandria in a beautiful brand new appliance experience centre that is opening…so excited!
Let me know what you all think guys! Need feedback right now! ;D ;D
-
I'm not in Sydney but daytime classes would be the only ones I might be able to make.
-
Hey lovelies I could have a visit to DD in Sydney in Sept Qld school hols (from Sept 19) so I would be there with bells on :) :)
-
Well today I contacted the only Tassie consultant that I know that is vaguely in my area to ask if they were keen to spread the word and try to get a Tenina class to Tassie. They were definitely not a fan of yours Tenina. ??? At least I tried I guess. Sigh! :-\
-
Goodness imagine not being a fan of Tenina's-perhaps they don't know her. How sad.
Super effort though Chelsea. :P
The big class is tonight and I'm looking forward to it. We have storms forecast for tonight, glad I have a 4 wheel drive. It might get a good wash in the rain. ;D
-
Enjoy it Cookie and be sure to come and report back tomorrow. :)
-
How exciting, can't wait to hear how it went!! :)
Well, I know I could easily get a class together up here for you, Tenina - they'd all want to come!! FNQ may be a bit far though... :-\

FNQ is never too far for those who love the heat….no problems! :)

Anywhere in Sydney is good as long as there's abundant parking! Daytime's fine.

Thanks Tenina for a fun, informative evening. Can't use facebook so I'm posting here. Not only did we tuck into some unusual but tasty soups (it was certainly the weather for it-thunder storm) we watched Tenina make them.
Tenina I really felt the evening showed us some new things we can use the TMX for, with the machine itself not being the centre of attention as it is in Back to Basics. You understood that we could all use the machine so just got on with sharing your expertise and great thoughts with us.
I'm planning to try a couple of the things this weekend and take them away with me.
Lovely to see you CP and to meet Bedlam and Jeninwa. Hope you got home ok Bedlam.
THANKS AGAIN TENINA. :-* :-* :-* I can't wait for the next one.
-
I just can't understand that Chelsea, I hope thats not the case in other states, we would love a Tenina class in Adelaide!
-
It was a bit bizarre and certainly not the pleasant reply I was expecting. The consultant even asked how I got his contact details. ??? That was rather funny as he gave me his contact details himself at my friends demo. The response did make me wonder if something has come down from HO re. helping out Tenina though.
I looked at airfares yesterday to fly over to Melbourne for a Tenina class but there are no specials on at the moment. One day! :)

Mmm, I wondered the same think Chelsea.
-
glad it went well..so are any of you in Teninas photos on FB??

Thanks Cookie, I had a blast…even though I was a bit under the weather….woke up with the flu today. Very excited about the prospects moving forward! Watch this space….enjoy the recipes. :D
-
Cookie, my girls are still giggling about you and I meeting, you enquiring if I was Bedlam and me replying cookie! We all had a great night, definitely worth the drive ( thank goodness the worst of the weather had passed for the drive home). Nice to meet CP63 and jeninwa also. I must admit I feel like a Thermomix addict. Really looking forward to Teninas next class.
-
I want to go to the advanced cooking glass in syd, my question is how do i know i am advanced lol
Silly question that i know for sure.
ciao
-
I just bluffed my way through!

More details girls. How many were in the class, did you all stand around the table watching tenina or sit in orderly fashion like at back to back cooking classes. Did she do all the cooking herself or did she have helpers. How long did the lesson last and was it all stuff you had not seen or tasted before? Did you get copies of the recipes? Was the phrase 'forum thermomix' used to gauge how many people were there from our forum - it never ever was at any cooking class I attended that H.O. had arranged. I was always tempted to jump up and ask for a show of hands from those who were our members but me being a little meek and mild person (truly ;)), I was never game to.
-
Judy, I think perhaps 20 or so people attended. We sat behind a table but Had the opportunity to help if we wanted, it was very interactive and entertaining. Cookie introduced me to CP. We got a lovely pack with all the recipes in a booklet as well as some samples and then tasted everything at the end. I have only been to one basics class, the flour one. Much prefered teninas although it was quite a few more dollars.
-
Lots of photos on f/b JD
-
Yes thanks fundj, I eventually found them. I didn't recognise anyone although there must be some forum people amongst those pictures.
-
They were probably all hiding from the camera JD :)
-
CP63 and Cookie are in the photo's ;) ;)
-
;) ;) ;)
-
Bedlam is next to CP63, with her 2 lovely daughters beside her. Jeninwa was behind CP and I. DD showed me how to look at it, bless her. :-*
Judy, even though we all sat and watched Tenina it didn't have any of the formality of a B2B class. You felt quite free to yell out questions.
Bedlam I can understand your daughters chuckling. My DD thinks it's all a bit of a laugh too. I just tell her that people over 35 can use forums too. She enjoys all the food ideas I get from it.
Tenina I hope you're beginning to feel better. :-* :-*
-
My sister is wanting me to get a Facebook page so she can be my friend!

Hey there, I think I should have mentioned the forum, but not sure that I did, but I certainly will in the future…I know where my friends can be found, that is for sure! hahaha, I AM feeling much better thank you, and on and upwards, planning the next menu, even tho I have Melbourne and another class in Perth coming up with Souper Bowl theme. I like to be a bit informal and will certainly keep it that way in the future. My thought is to use foodie/kitchen ware shops or appliance centres as venues as I go along. Its getting the balance right. I had great feedback from everyone on the night with lots of ideas as to the future, and I will certainly be taking all feedback on board. I will ALWAYS supply the recipes for the classes as I think that is a no brainer, though I would appreciate them remaining off other sites until the classes using those same recipes are over with. I plan on doing maybe 4-6 menus per year so that there is plenty of reasons to come back….while I get my book ready! Yes, book deal in the making…so exciting times ahead.
CanI just say, I have never met a nicer bunch of people, and I know that as I get around the country, the story will be the same. Melbourne is booking fast…so dont delay, Wednesday 17th August at 7pm and Thursday 18th August at 11am at the Carmelite Centre 216 Richardson St Middle Park.
You can book at bookings@cookingwithtenina.com $60 per ticket which includes a goodie folder, all recipes and some samples…PLUS lots of fun and info. Talk soon! :D

Ooh yes I forgot about the book. We all have that to look forward to. Thanks again.
-
We will be back Tenina, and looking forward to the book. It's been one of those mad weeks in our house so haven't yet had a chance to do much. Looking forward to having a big cook up soon.
-
Sorry, can't work out who is who. I know what you look like Cookie from pictures posted from one of your Perth get togethers but I can't see which is you in the picture to work out who anyone else is.
-
Can't see me very well Judy(what a shame!) but my DD1 has the cream coat on , at the end is my DD 2 I am on the other side of DD 1 and then CP and cookie next to her
-
Jd im guessing in the group photo they are in the second row??? With cookie on far left (only partial photo) then cp63 then bedlem and daughters.... Is that right girls???
-
That's right Frozzie, I finally got it sorted. Our forum girls will have to get together at the next course and have a group photo taken by one of the girls to post on here ;)
