Marina when the kids were young , and there had been no rain for so long . We would go outside and do a rain dance . I’d forgotten about this until someone the other day jokingly said looks like we need to do a rain dance . Any rain would be good . Did shopping , so time consuming.

The Chicken and Mushroom Pot Pie was extremely tasty so thought I should post this here. It’s not really a recipe.
Make a batch of SOS sauce.
Add as much cooked chicken as it will take. ( salmon or prawns )
Cook button mushrooms in EVOO, add to sauce and chicken.
Add a large handful of chopped parsley.
Add cream to thin out a little and dilute the taste of the SOS sauce.
Serve topped with pastry, potato or bread crumbs. Or as I did, over garlic bread.

We have run out of all the soups people had given us as well as all the food I has stocked up in the freezer on prior to my operation so it was Thai take away last night - a fabulous pad Thai for me, green curry with beef for DH.

There is nothing like the sound of rain on the roof when you have gone through such a long dry spell.

Many years ago, when we were in drought here, we had a French girl on work experience with us for a couple of months and when it started raining one night she and her housemates all came out and danced in the rain!

Cookie, Strawberry and Rhubarb sounds interesting. Will give it a try.
Would love some Rye bread, especially if it had Caraway seeds in it. Might make a seed loaf with dried potato flakes in it. I fancy a curried egg sandwich for lunch.

Cookie, Rain is wonderful when you don’t get much.
The men finished my Garden Room and it’s lovely. It has 4 see through mesh type blinds that are remote controlled. The blinds provide privacy and wind protection but can be seen through from the inside. There is also a sun blind over the top for hot days.
More jam today. It is citrus season. Will also make some Lemon Butter for GD who is coming at Weekend. All in TMX.

Yes I’m under cover cookie and it’s anyone’s guess as to how they’re going to play from week to week.

Oh no Judy. I hope your team plays in the rain well. Are you seated under cover?
