I'm new to this site, having just purchased my Thermomix. Can't wait to make this bread! Can anyone suggest an alternative for besan flour as I have a bad reaction to chickpeas please?
Beverlily  :D

You can use buckwheat instead of the chickpeas.  :)

Oh dear! What did I do? I very carefully measured the ingredients, but I ended up with a batter, not a dough.  Wiil have to try again, but with less water next time.
Anyone else have this problem?

Not a problem - that's how it is.  Pity the recipe doesn't warn people.

Thanks for the tip re buckwheat flour, I was intending to try that. I've made the bread several times now using amaranth flour and that works too.  ;D

I've made many different GF breads before I bought the TM and they have all been of a 'batter-like' consistency. This recipe is by far the best I've tried and the tastiest. It doesn't taste like cake mixture as some of them do. I love chia seeds and so add them to the mix for that extra boost of fibre and Omega 3. Yum!!   ;)

Now I'm trying the mayonnaise.......  :-\

I attended a sourdough gluten free workshoop last week and most of the doughs made with buckewheat, rice flour  and sorghum flour were very batter like. I hadn't eaten buckwheat flour before and it is certainly a different taste.

I'm just making this now. I halved the recipe as I only have a small tin and also added chia seeds  :) The lovely Meagan has put me onto a very cheap distributor online so I can't wait to keep trying it all out  ;D Thanks love  :-*

Oh and I used all brown rice instead of half and half because I couldn't find glutinous rice any where!

I made this recipe on Christmas Day for my mum. It was such a thrill for her to enjoy tasty home made gluten free bread that really did look like 'artisan' bread. I was my first attempt and all went smoothly. Thank you.
