Katie, yesterday I made a large grain loaf and 18 bread rolls, cost $3 for ingredients and took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Actual work time 15 minutes, remaining cooking time.

Yum. I must look out for the Laucke organic flour Chookie.
I assembled the bee sting cake today. The brioche dough wasn't the best, but the finished product s nice. I filled it with thermomix custard, whipped with 1/4 cup thickened cream and a tablespoon of triple sec.  the flavour is great.

I love bee sting cake cookie.  You may have tried one when you visited Hahndorf on one of your trips over to S.A.  Clever you.

Quail. Haven’t cook them  before. Should be interesting. Stir fried veggies.

Djinni, I always line bread tin or pots with 2 layers of baking paper. I don’t think it is a problem if it goes crispy around the edges. Just tip the bread out. I use the same paper  2 or 3 times. You could also use brown paper.
Thanks Chookie. Will give this a go.

Great looking cake Cookie.

I made a No Fuss Loaf yesterday.  It tastes like it needs more salt so I think I must have forgotten to put any in  :-)) :-))

Judy we always go to Otto's in Hahndorf for a Bee sting slice, then Beerenberg. Your hills have so much to see and do. We also haunt Woodside too as DH did some of his national service there. I love the cheese factory there.

Mab, I know how you managed that!
I recently made dough for a loaf and it didn’t feel quite right when I removed it from the TMX. I am using the Organic flour and it has none of the added sugar or salt of the Laucke mix. I dissolved a little sugar and salt in a little warm water and then added this to the dough. Kneaded for 2 more minutes with a bit more flour.

Today I am going to try pickling some onions today.  It looks like it is going to take several days so we will see what happens.
