Newbie here...Cooke a curry the other day and now there is a film at the bottom, which will just not come off! I tried following advice on here by filling just past the blade with water with bi-carb at 100degrees for 5mins at speed 5-8....it's done nothing and in fact now there's even slight stains from the bi carb! Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi Cabban - welcome to the forum!! I've had that problem and interestingly enough this was the solution for me . . . I made this capsicum jam http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5956.0 and when I cleaned the bowl afterwards with just a little bicarb it came up as good as new. Whether or not it's the vinegar or the combination of ingredients I can't say . . but it worked for me!! - and the Capsicum Jam was really good too!! ;D
Give it a go and let's know how you get on. Good luck!

I do the vinegar clean from the EDC... 1lt vinegar, couple of tiny squirts of dishwashing detergent, 50 degrees, ten minutes :)
Or if there is any more residue, I use a paste of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and scrub it :)

Thanks! I will give these a go. Seems to be the vinegar maybe! Thank you :-)

Hopefully it works for you. I am one of those that get out the gumption.

Cabban, a lot of us bought these scrubbies and they are great for cleaning the bowl, with or without gumption added.

Funnily enough, this happened to me yesterday. I gave the bowl a good clean, but there was still a little of the residue left. I didn't have time to do the cleaning procedure again, so I continued cooking my next couple of dishes and by the time I was finished the jug was fine. Hope you manage to clean the marks off.
