Title: Where do you buy fondant and cake supplies in sydney?

Hi to all sydney siders..where do you get cake supplies from gels and powders to fondsnt to specialised pans etc?? Is there a particular speciality store somewhere?? Wouldlove any info .. Thx!!

Also while im adking where do you buy fresh yeast here..?? I asked at a bakery today and the woman said no lol.. So either i keep trying at different ones or agsin there is somewhere i can get it easily..

For cake decortaing supplies I generally end up at Cake Decorating Central  (http://www.cakedecoratingcentral.com/)

But I've never used fresh yeast sorry.

Kim.. There's a place called Fourth Village - a wonderful Italian deli/restaurant in Mosman that has it.. .. Can't get the link on my phone but just google the name for the location . Certainly worth a visit but not the cheapest place in town!

Thx uni.. Have u ever checked cosco uni.. Was wondering if they had it... Obviously in bulk .. Will have to check it out

Jadey thx.. I was hoping for one more locally.. Great online shop though.. I stupidly told a friend i would make her daughters bday cake lol for next week and i still havent done a big supply shop..i could do what i did last year and just make marshmallow fondant etc.. Just haveto find where i putall my powders and pastes

Gf thx for that ill check it out.. Im sure thats the place my gf told me about re sausages (italian) which resemble the french saussicon etc and she also mentioned a very goodbut expensive cheese place that makes her cry every time she buys cheese knowing how much it costs in france.. I met her in paris years ago..

Would The Essential Ingredient have them Kim. I did a cooking class there once when DD flew over to a conference. You could always check with their online store.
